The company has over $5 billion in debt and lost a $100 million this quarter, meaning the debt will increase. Assuming I’ve read all that correctly this is surely not a sustainable business model.

Here’s to hoping they make this up and turn a profit for the rest of the year.
People are focusing on the negatives of this report but it's not all doom and gloom. The Cedar Fair parks turned a small profit. The Six Flags parks were in the red, which is why they are closing parks. No doubt the current quarter is not sustainable in the long run, but it will take several years for their planned major changes to bear fruit. Six Flags America is currently operating in a bizarre situation that is no doubt bleeding money, but that will soon end.
The report blames weather for poor attendance and financials for the quarter, and there is good evidence that is true. Attendance was down 12% in the final six weeks of the quarter compared to same time last year. They cited weather and noted that in the last five weeks, overall attendance is up 1% from the same time last year. That said, weather will suck sometimes and it's clear they need to make long term changes so that bad weather does not cause $100 million in losses for a quarter. They obviously need to operate such that they are turning a profit in good quarters and breaking even in bad quarters.
I still have hope, or at least with our park, besides the maintenance with the B&Ms, alot of other things have been ince improvements like the small bits of theming, and events
Old Great America was better, however I hope just a bit of that charm comes back

Haunted Saloon would go kinda hard tbh

As an animatronic band enthusiast, I'm hoping for either the return of Foghorn Leghorn or the whole Looney Tunes Revue to be put on that stage if the park can pull that out of their butt somehow.
On the topic of Snowshoe Saloon/Yukon BBQ, does anyone know how often the miniature train runs or if there are any issues with it currently? I visited the restaurant over the weekend and was disappointed to see the lack of a train.

That would be cool, especially if there's a nearby Looney Tunes area

Apparently Bull Yellow Train was caught testing yesterday so we should be back to two train ops soon.
When I was there last week X-Flight's door was open and I was able to see the train with open restraints and the lap-bar piece was missing on some seats just like they were for both Bull's red and yellow trains when they were in the shed.
So whatever they're doing with the B&M's, it's restraint related.

Bull Yellow train was fully back yesterday evening they started letting people on!
Man that sucks. I haven't gotten enough laps on Bull this year and next year is going to be a nightmare with fast lanes instead of Flash Pass.
I still think they should re-route fast lane to that unused path behind the photo booth and then widen the stairs for a divided line. Between fast lane and standby. This could potentially eliminate the grouper at the bottom entirely.
In all honesty, those stairs need replacing anyway.

I'm curious how the transition to Fast Lane will go. A lot of the current Flash Pass lines aren't really viable for Fast Lane, with Raging Bull perhaps being the worst of them. Also, since the Fast Lane is basically always available to join, I have a feeling normal wait times are going to increase significantly. I'm expecting a bit of a mess early next season.

Also, the schedule is based on when the company that paints it has time for it.

I feel like Batman took at least a couple of weeks to paint last season. Since Raging Bull is so much bigger, I'd be surprised if they had it ready before Fright Fest.

It will be ready by Fright Fest. Like I said, Batman reopened pretty quickly. It’s a 3rd party company that does the painting so they know what they are doing.
Unless there’s a lot of rain or bad weather, there’s no reason it shouldn’t be ready for Fright Fest

Batman closed on or about 25 August for painting. That’s the first reference I could find. It didn’t reopen until 2nd weekend of Fright Fest. The park announced it on Instagram on September 20th.
Theoretically, it could be ready. But I wouldn’t guarantee it’ll be open by September 13th, which is advertised as FF opening day.
