I honestly feel like Rakshasa is the opposite of something like Maxx force, where one is purely just an enthusiast pleaser just plopped on concrete and grass with no theming while WOR is something that many enthusiasts look past but is held up with its theming and atmosphere it could have. While Maxx force is still my favorite coaster at Great America, I was heavily disappointed with its lack of anything interesting in the queue (the music and lights didn't come until years later) Rakshasa is something that I wasn't too into at first but the promise of theming and what's been shown off has got me really pumped, did anyone notice some art of what looks like a demon on the wall of that building that was shown off? Could be early signs
Some time, on way to successful, first of steps of all of the steps to being successful steps are hardest of all of the steps to successing.

I totally agree. I remember in 2019 when the park shared that the theming would be a red and black color scheme throughout the queue and station lol. So seeing the concept art for the gift shop is promising. It kinda looks like the walls are stone dungeon-like, I’d love to see more of that throughout the area.

So happy we didn’t end up with that crappy metal detector system like Steel Vengeance or Wildcats Revenge.
Can you please explain the conveyor belt system?
I agree about Twisted Timbers and the rent-a-cops frisking and patting down guests! I was there this summer and that really perturbed me since I ONLY wear zippered pockets on rides now.

Dang I really thought I'd see the pov by time I landed. Maybe this weekend?
There's a video of it on YouTube. Just search "Yukon striker high tech loose article bins" it explains it enough but I know I've seen it on other videos as well.

Sure, I’ll try.
The number of bins matches with the number of trains, as you’re already used to. The difference here is that after you and the rest of the passengers place their belongings in the bins, your bins travel up onto a conveyor belt. The conveyor belt prevents anyone from reaching the bins as the belt is a few feet over everyone’s head. Once your train returns your bins will become accessible to retrieve your items. I like it because it looks really cool, and it makes you feel like no one can steal your stuff while you ride.
The problem is the drinks as people have already mentioned. But I’m sure our park is smart enough to figure that one out.
If it’s anywhere close to the one at CW, the GP is gonna love it. This might be the video CoastsToCoasters was referring to:
^ I would just add for clarity that you put your belongs in the bins on the load side, and then by the time your ride is over and you get off, your belongings will be on the unload side. So this system eliminates people putting away their belongings after the gates open for their train. They will be able to just go to their seats.
One thing with dive coasters is that people will want to take off their shoes. I don't remember if Yukon Striker allows people to put their shoes in the bins, or if they have bins for shoes like Valravn does. Interested to see which way we go regarding that.

Yeah you’ll get off the ride and off the unloading platform and pick up your stuff before you completely exit the ride. It’s super convenient.
I keep saying this but man, that second half of the ride might make me like dive coasters.... LOL Looks like a lot of fun, happy to see no mid course break/stoppage.

Operation: FRR is my "master" plan to hop onto the first public train. I'm currently planning everything out to prepare for Opening Day 2025 if Rakshasa opens on Opening Day. The main obstacle will probably be the thousands trying to accomplish the same task.
Wish me luck.
The target opening date for Wrath is Memorial Day. There’s virtually 0 chance it’s open on Opening Day. They never have new rides ready by then.
In the video you mentioned that there were still unused caissons for footers. My bet is all of these are for the buccaneer Battle side of the coaster. Since vehicles can't really move freely in that area once the footers are installed.
Those will come last because all vehicles and cranes will need to be near the midway by the food court for those last track pieces.
"I've been told that some part of every wish will be heard but lately I lost sight of the truth in those words."
I just posted a new video of the progress on Wrath of Raksasha. In this video I have the bottom of the drop showing from Washington street and I-94 as it is now visible from outside of the park. I also have some of the new additional track peices that have shown up this past week from the employee parking lot (zoomed in from behind the fence)!
I didn’t realize the drop was already tall enough to see from outside the park! Cool! I’m sure the weather has slowed things down but I thought we’d for sure see another support column put in place for the lift by now.
It looks like there’s only 2 or 3 caissons near the dive loop that need concrete poured. As far as I can tell the rest of the footers for the layout are poured so I really don’t know what the empty caissons in the parking lot are for. Hopefully they can complete the rest of the footers by the end of next week since it looks like it should be warming up a bit (fingers crossed).
I really don't believe all footers have been poured, I think the area surrounding the station like the last two helices will come last.
Notice the last cassions aren't very big, so those aren't high stress or deep footers.
The cranes wouldn't be able to move around freely in the former Buccaneer area if all footers were there already. I think we will see those after the dive loop is done.
