I remember when Deja Vu was taken out and replaced with Buccaneer Battle. In my honest opinion, I viewed that as a significant downgrade. Replacing a thrilling coaster with a ride that really wasn't too thrilling at all but more tiring than anything else. Wrath of Rakshasa makes up for that. This is a BETTER replacement over the old BB ride, and the ride that should have replaced Deja Vu in the first place.

Well Buccaneer was crap in general tbh, if it had better theming or something it could've worked, but who cares, it's gone now
Old Great America was better, however I hope just a bit of that charm comes back

2025 will be viewed as the 50th anniversary. This is because 2000 was the 25th anniversary.
So Raksasha will the big 50th anniversary addition for SFGAm.
I still find that * weird.
If they want like a 2 year long Celebration, next year can be the 50th Seasons, and then 2026 can be seen as 50th anniversary, at least that's how i'd do it

Because an anniversary is technically only one day and it already be the 51st season. So it actually makes sense to celebrate the 50th season.
I'm very thrilled about Rakshasa but for a while I too was totally thinking the big coaster would be 2026 as to me that was the 50th & 2025 was going to be a Hurricane Harbor anniversary addition.

I mean 2026 would technically be the first season under new Cedar Flags management so....
Not to mention the country is 250 in '26 and the park's name is Great AMERICA!
I'll be posting a whole video on all my thoughts but in short... honestly amazed how they squeezed this in. Literally all we lost was BB, which has already been closed for years. Layout looks to be a powerhouse. Definitely intrigued with the theming, hopefully they will be able to pull off a good amount. I love how Rakshasa and Demon will be playing off of each other. Super excited to get on this!
Sucker for a launch, custom audio and Demon | Coaster Count: 629

I could see Hurricane Harbor getting something in 2026 in place of Hurricane Mountain and Wahoo Racer. Wahoo Racer has of course been closed for an eternity, and Hurricane Mountain barely gets lines. Nobody seems to go past the water play structure nowadays.
I would love a ProSlide Tornado WAVE called “Atlantic Panic” or “Southern Sea Surge” but they’ll probably go the lazy route and call it Wahoo Wave.

I put together a small video with the placement roughed in on how the coaster would look overlayed on Google Earth. It is at 0:17 mark, but this link should start you there: https://youtu.be/bmNNf0_lTcE?si=_AXl70N2opeHDvN2&t=16

I'm concerned that the B&M rattle could find it's way to our Dive coaster next year. I've heard reports about Iron Menace at Dorney Park (also a mini B&M Dive with 7 across seating) that it has a rattle and shakes like hell. TWO MONTHS after it opened!!!!
How can such a thing happen to a B&M? Is there a solution to fixing this? Sand filled track and supports? They have been known to be smooth, comfortable rides for as long as I can remember. Is it a problem with the 7 across seating arrangement? Or something else?

Rob this is amazing! Thanks for creating that ! Did you make the video detailing the 5 inversions? I found it super helpful for identifying them .
Single Day Ride Count Record

My understanding is it’s been happening to all their coasters recently. I’ve heard complaints about other new ones as well. Hopefully they figured it out!! Maybe it’s the train design? I don’t see how it could be the track all of a sudden since it’s coming from the same manufacturing plant that has been with them. From the beginning.

Got the ride footage from the park, added the inversion titles and the coaster overlay for what the coaster will look like when built.

I'm not expecting anything outlandish here but the simple fact that there's any discussion on that is making me happy. John brought up the temple, we could see some simple elements similar to what Rapterra will have. Also the audio on the drop? Love that.

Is it worth pointing out that they don't seem to be promoting it that way (and if they have anywhere, I apologize, but I haven't seen it) - compare to when they did make a big deal of the 40th (granted, all we got were kiddie rides) and how Great Adventure did a whole thing for their 50th. So I kinda expect they will still treat 2026 as the '50th season!' and maybe do some throwback things or something...
Honestly while this is a major addition, there doesn't seem to be that tie into the 50th anniversary. They have hardly mentioned it, if at all which is why I agree that will take place in 2026. With that said, that anniversary could simply be beautification & homage to the parks history with a smaller addition if one at all, just as we saw for the 40th. Goliath was announced before that so this could very much be the same.
Also I'm looking at the layout & it hit me that the first two elements are just basically one massive cobra roll after all. So I got my cobra roll. Haha
But in all seriousness, I'm floored by this thing. It's just amazing how it's placed so oddly that makes it stand out.
I honestly think that 2026 will be the 50th. In the past, it didn’t matter if you messed up the anniversary by a year or so since 25, 30, 40, all of them are nothing compared to the big old golden anniversary. Since SFGAm opened for the country’s bicentennial, the GP would be confused as why isn’t the park celebrating its 50th the year of the Semiquincentennial of America.

They should bring back the Marriott era area music for the rest of the lands, i'm tired of listening to pop music in the park and it kills the vibe for me. That's the least they can do for me, besides extra Looney Tunes rep
