Rock 'n' tug a.k.a. Jester's Wild Ride

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

I've seen the pics, and I've checked out the Flat Joint, but I was wondering what this ride is like. Is it an intense flat, with lots of G's, or is it pretty tame? or perhaps somewhere in the middle? Has anyone on these forums ever ridden one of these before?
you can't believe it - you didn't mean it
but they saw you do it and they know your name

Im pretty sure it's more of a Kid's Ride, looks really small and unless it spins pretty fast then I can't see it being a thrill ride.

From the pictures I've seen on flat joint, there were a lot of kids riding the ride. So I'm going to go with a kids ride. Sort of makes sense though. 2 new kids rides this season, and 2 new thrill rides.

Me and Chitown were talking last night about how, Big Easy Balloons could easily be a thrill ride. If your able to spin the cars half as much as you are able to spin Chubasco's.

I consider Cajun a family ride.

in my opinion Cajun's more of a family coaster than thrill ride.
Technical enough?

Ladies Ladies...please calm down. I'm sorry my comment sparked this catfight. I just didn't add Rajun Cajun because I wasn't too sure how to classify it. I think I'd have to ride it first.

If any of you have been to Disneys Animal Kindom in Orlando they got a reverchon mouse coaster, but they have two of them next to each other, but i dont think it races. I was there but i didn't go on it. I think its the same design.

It is the exact same coaster just themed differently.

And as Dave said, the Big Easy Balloons model that SFGAm is getting allows you to spin your gondola so in theory, this could be considered a thrill ride if you choose to.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

Well if we want to get all technical and get into official industry classifications....

Top Spin/King Chaos- Spectacular
Frisbee/Revolution- Spectacular
Spinning Mouse- Spectacular
Balloon Race- Major
Rockin Tug- Family

Small comment on Rockin Tug, though it really is designed for kids and younger folk, it's suprisingly fun for everyone, I suggest you all ride it at least once, it can spin relatively fast. I'm sure adults will be admitted. It's nothing thrilling, but worth a spin.

The Big Easy Balloons will let us spin the balloon like Chubasco? Is this confirmed? If so, that ride could very well be the best new ride we're getting since I love the teacups so much.

I think its great that Great America has gotten new kid/family rides, Especially because smaller kids like my 7 year old cousin arent ready for roller coasters yet, but still like Great America none the less. :)

I'm definitely hoping that King Chaos is set to extreme/intense mode...since the only top spin I ever rode was Tomb Raider-The Ride at PKI, I'm looking forward to my 1st ride on a top spin outta the box.

The press release did say that riders on Big Easy Ballons would be able to spin the balloons like crazy, however the artwork with the press releases also showed a floorless Top Spin.

Looking at the Artist Drawing for the Top Spin, I don't see anything that would led you to believe it was a floorless model. Doesn't look that way at all.
