Is it just me, or in the construction pics taken at yesterday's buy-out (accessable from the SFGAMWorld homepage) does it look like the theming on the new rides is gorgeous, but there is very little theming in the surrounding area... I was hoping for a SWT-type theming job. I hope that I'm not dissappointed when Mardi Gras does open. Any thoughts?
All the new rides look great. Revolution, King Choas, Jesters Wild Ride, and Triple play also looks 10x better than it did before, great choice of colors.
It looks kind of like clamshell restaraints like raging bull! And very suprisingly i kind of like the new batman colors.....
*edit*
Do you guys think that they will have the new rides up and running in time for opening day..? If they dont i will understand but what about the general public? they might flip if they go there hoping to get on new rides and none are open!

I think that revolution, triple play, king chaos, and the big easy balloon rides look great. The we got the beat show looks really good. The new orleans gril looks freshened up as well. Jesters wild ride looks pretty carnivally, and revolution stil doesnt have a cemented in queuve, but once they finish landscaping it, it wont look so carnivaly and the rides will look more permanent.
And king chaos has otsrs. Those things are crazy. They'd be idiots not to put them on there.
Theres an electric over the shoulder restraint, and then a really heave incomfortable lap bar holds it in place. So when you ride it, dont sit so far back in your seet when the restraints come down. because if you do, you wont be able to breathe.
The only negative thing i have to say is "WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO TO BATMAN"S LINE SIX FLAGS?"

*Nods head*
I gotta admit, SFGAm did an awsome job with the new rides.
The themeing is very cool, the rides are plced well, and I just like everything.
I can't wait to see the finished product.
I think B:TR would look better in it's orginal color but this yellow is also nice.
Chitown and who ever else went: Did anyone see or get hit by any yellow paint chips from B:TR?

This is where I would usually put stuff. Can't think of anything right now... =/
Yeah they look pretty good. But i dont think that their finished yet with any of the rides, because there is no queue. But Im not sure. Also i think that V2 looks kinda stupid now that the supports were added. Cause now the towers can swing like they used to. Did they put in the supports just to make it not sway.
Im not complaining or anything but the only ride that looks good to me is Revolution. I think B:TR looks okay and I would prefer it the way it was before. The Mardi Gras rides have ugly paint jobs and I think they could have done better. TP should have been left alone. The new colors are too dark and I like the old orange better. Oh well its not the paint job that makes the ride.
Ok a few things here... First Yes King Chaos will have OSTR's they just aren't installed.
Secondly the only new rides that should be open for opening day are Revolution and Stargate SG-3000. Everything else is not expected to open for at least another two weeks. They will most likely wait until everything is built, then hold a media day then open the whole area, and not open it in parts. As to the GP caring, I haven't seen a ton of the TV ads saying Hey Look its Mardi Gras or something like that, and they don't have anything about it on the Coke cans, which have a great deal on them, admission for $25.99 I believe.
And to anyone who expected better themeing or doesn't like the way they look, STOP COMPLAINING! Be glad you've got something, the rest of the park is looking great, and like the above post states, its not the paint job that makes the ride. Just close your eyes while riding Batman if it bothers you that much. And I think the removal of the Graffiti wall for Batman was a good idea, it was getting to the point of decay, and it really was not smelling too pleasant either.

I think that one of the main Mardi Gras colors is purple, maybe thats why.
Revolution is the prettiest thing in the world! I really like batman's colors it makes it stand out so much nicer. I could go on and on but it would take me forever, I love everything!

Yeah everything looks fine I guess. I just hope that they make an anouncement about when the grand opening of mardi gras is, because i want to be there on opening day.
I'm excited, becasue, conveiintly (Wow, that's spelled wrong) i'm going with my school's singing group on the 14th. I'm so happy. I hope it won't be crowded. There's only about 50-60 of us so it's not like we will create a crowd.
For anyone who went- what about hte parade. They had to rip out the tracks to do some work. are they back? Will the new mardi gras parade be ready for opening day? just curious.
