As we sit here on this cloudy, rainy, cool April Day. Some of you feel like anxious kids awaiting the final day of school. Yes folks its that time of year again. Great America's opening day! And this year like years past theres a buzz around Gurnee starting to set in. Yeah there are new rides, new paint jobs and new faces to greet us at our hometown park. And as undoubtedly as in years past. The Coaster Nut arises from his or her shell, so greet the new season. With topics started months ago proclaiming countdowns til opening day, and races to your favorite rides. You cant help but feel a little anxious this time of year. The weather (although it doesnt seem like it) is warming up. Our Baseball teams are in full swing. And yes, of course Great America is opening soon! But for some people, opening day 2004 will be just another regular day at Six Flags. But as this offseason winter/spring draws to a close. I wish everyone a happy opening day! and I will SEE YOU AT THE PARK!
Lots of things have happened while we were away from you Six Flags Great America. First off, Kyle’s Coaster World closed than reopened, which i found really odd but yea. Next, after weeks of speculation of new flats we all got stunned at No Coaster Con, with the Announcement of a new territory. After that, we finally get a new simulator film, Stargate. Following that, we waited and waited and waited for the opening day. That day is coming, for when the chain drops, let us just hope we don’t riot.
