Are there any rides you're SCARED of??

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

this is probably a dumb question, because I know most of you will do anything, but personally I can't stand Giant Drop or American Eagle backwards...I dunno why...but they just terrify me. I'm so scared of heights...and I was never on a rollercoaster (without crying) until I was 18....so I still have some fears.

GD used to scare me, now i can handle most anything. I've got to admit though when I was on the train for Mr. Freeze and it being my first ride this season, it gave me a few butterflies. But now sense thats all out of the system, I'm ready for anything!

I used to get nervous on coasters, when I went on them twice a year ;).

Now coasters are more relaxing than thrilling to me, but I still enjoy them.

like I've been on GD and AEB at least six times each and they STILL scare me. I don't know why I'm such a freak like that.

Spacelys Sprocket Rocket, that ride brings me to my knees.... Err wait...

For me its not the ride I'm scared of, its Heights, when I feel that I'm secure, like on GD, or RB etc... at height, I'm fine, but if I'm in a tall building, that bothers me.

Thats also why I make sure my restraints are down as far as they go... I also think its a good thing to check your own restraint... Not that I don't trust the ride-op's, but some just don't care and pressing down on a restraint doesn't mean its locked.

^I know what your talking about, some of those ops don't pull on the restraint at all. Some of them barely even push down!^

Honestly I was a little scared about my security on Whizzer when I was sitting alone and that seatbelt started to give.

Im not afraid of any rollercoasters anymore, but the first time I went on TTD I was freaking out....I'm not afraid of heights but it was the speed i was afraid of.....but after riding Dragster I'm not afraid of speeds anymore.(speeds over 100 mph)

Not really since I started to ride them all once I reached the minimum height and have been visiting SFGAM regularly since I was 7 years of age.

I think anyone is a little nervous for TTD. It was such a different experience. I don't think anyone could grasp what that acceleration would feel like.

I'm not afraid of coasters. although the first time on S:UF when they pulled the seats up was pretty exhilerating despite hearing everyone in front of me scream when it happened to them.
I don't have a detonator; its on a timer.
A countdown timer?
No, a count-up timer. It goes from one to explode.

Yeah that would be kind of freaky being up that high. Your chance of dying is better!1!111!11 OMG OMG. The building or the coaster could break! sorry - I do see how it would be really scary if you don't like heights.

No. I'll go any Coaster or Ride, anywhere, anytime as long as it is safe. I love the thrill. :D
This is where I would usually put stuff. Can't think of anything right now... =/

When you ride Orbit, try looking backward at the cabin behind you making sure you take in the scenery. It's very disorienting! I love that!

Williams Grove Cyclone, the rusted away sections of track steel, completely rusted away anti rollbacks on the turn around and missing laminates of lumber in the track are disturbing to say the least. :)

I'm suprised the ride still operates, you would think the extremely leaning lift hill would send the message to the park that it may just not be safe :)

Also any ride made by Togo sends chills down my spine, especially when they cost $11.50 for one ride (Manhattan Express)

I was looking at pictures of the Williams Grove Cyclone about a month ago, and it looked like a ride that had been sitting dormant without any maintence care for years! I sure as hell would be nervous getting on that thing.

Here's some picture's of it for those wondering about it.

I used to get nervous before riding coasters, but after my first ride on Deja Vu, I was never afraid again. I still get a bit nervous before Giant Drop, those drop rides kinda creep me out lol. But I still ride them cause they're awesome.

I can't scream on GD. And I've got it down to how many seconds your up there after you hear the click. I've got to take a huge breath before we drop or i get the wind knocked out of me.

Whizzer (when I first rode Whizzer, back when I was a jr. enthusiast, and we'd get to the top of the spiral lift, I always felt the train tipping toward the left side of the track and I thought "oh man the train's going to fall off the track!" and that has always stuck with me, even though I know better now ^_^)

Giant Drop (All drop rides are unnerving to me. The anxiety of reaching the top is always a problem.)

Deja Vu (Well, just the first lift and the lift back down. You know what I mean...)

I am most scared of Giant Drop. I am always scared that the brakes or whatever stops you will not work. I used to be scared of Raging Bull but not anymore, the first drop is a little intense but that is about it. The lift hill is probably the scariest part though. I always test my harness like 10 times when going up the hill just to make sure it doesn't give on the drop.
I wish I lived in Chicago so I could go to Six Flags more often!
