Take TEA with a grain of salt. They reported SF chain attendance at 30.78M and SF in their annual report reported 30.42M. The year over year increase from annual reports is 313K(TEA claim 689K). The 313K is the worst for SF since being flat 2010 to 2011.
On the bright side we got more attendance than Cedar Fair .

CF increased by by 600K to 25.7M and admission revenue was 734M. SF admission revenue 741M on 30.4M visitors. 4.7M less visitors but just 7M less revenue. For SF letting people in for free will give you higher attendance, with a ton of bring a friend for free day.
SF's concern is attendance increases are going to be harder as they have most of the paying customers, those that buy passes(63% of all visitors). Would be interesting if SF would ever answer questions about the bring a friend visitor number, they skirt the topic when mentioned on conf calls. Lower attendance growth has been several years running 500K, now 300K. Hence, SF are seeking the need to try to get more money from the paying customers with memberships that cost more than passes. The question is how many people will they lose at a higher price point. SF's related attendance concern is food and merchandise revenue. It increased by just 4M after increasing by 40 and 20M the 2 previous years, another downward trend despite SF heavily pushing dining options and drink bottles.
^ Hmm I wonder if it will be open tomorrow on my visit to Great America for Music In The Parks. If you see a guy with a bright blue shirt and a gray and orangish strip bag with jeans then that's me and help me from my GP friends .

I'm pretty sure the WiFi is just at the front of the park right now. Hopefully it becomes park wide in the near future though.

Ugh... they keep on ruining my last ride on Bull .
Just to clear something up, the wifi is only available at the front gate to help people get to the SF website/app to get to their tickets/passes. The rest of the park is still without wifi.

I have noticed that the cell signal for AT&T is much stronger this year. I always have at least 4 bars now where last year I would put my phone in airplane mode as not to drain battery constantly looking for a cell signal.
^ Hmm... it seems like the T-Mobile service got weaker too. But if there is Wi-fi at the front of the park I'm going to spend most of my time there. Also it seems like Whizzer is only running two trains .

Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m sure whizzer has only run 2 trains for a few years now.
Whizzer will definitely run three trains when needed.
I don't believe they run three trains on Demon. The third train does not really increase capacity of the ride. Due to relatively short nature of the other ride, a train is always stacked in the break run.
It's not necessary to run three trains on Whizzer right now.

I’m sure many of you don’t remember but when it first opened with the park, at peak times it would run 5 trains until 1980 when someone was killed on the California one and everything changed as a result.
^ But nothing does not allow it to have three trains right. But then again adding more trains= more money so maybe that's why Six Flags doesn't want to. That or they are adding the third train during the summer.

I would love to experience Whizzer at opening. 5 trains, no seatbelts. I assume the train would stop and people would just jump on and go. Capacity would have been pretty awesome with trains flying around everywhere.

Exactly! Without no seatbelts there was no need to check train. So people would just jump on and it would leave the station. There would usually be 3 trains on course at a time with 2 in station.
I remember riding it and going up lift and a train coming by on the turn around on the lift.
