Gay/Pride Day

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Postby BigBoyEvilBill on April 16th, 2004, 9:25 pm
I was just wondering if anyone knows when/if it's happening this year, and if there's any difference in the amount of people in the park (more/less people).

I think I went to the park on gay pride day, but I never noticed a difference. I don't know when it is this year.
I don't have a detonator; its on a timer.
A countdown timer?
No, a count-up timer. It goes from one to explode.

Yes, that word you used is a derogatory term against homosexuals.

I am leaving this open because it is a legitimate question. However, if anyone starts becoming anti-gay in their responses, this topic will lock and you just might get bounced from here.

People here need to grow up, the person made a legitimate question and all of a sudden people jump on the subject. To the person who made the thread, id suggest calling the park, they might have the info you need....

You all know very damn well that fag is used as an insult against gays 90% of the time.

Anyway, to try to stay on subject. I suggest calling up the park and asking them what day it is. It's really impossible to tell how crowds would be on Gay Day, but I'm guessing it would only be about a 1-minute extra wait for most rides.

I don't know what people have against gay people. If you ever watch queer eye for the strait guy on Bravo, they give some GREAT tips for girls. They know what they are talking about when it comes to what a girl wants!

sunday june 27th is gay pride day, I think. I just did a quick google search and that's what came up, but I don't think there's an official site for gay pride day or anything.

papas, there are lots of words that can be used to insult or to not. its the meaning that the speaker puts behind the words that make them insults or not and, although none of us know exactly what you meant in your first post, it sure seems like you were meaning to hurt.

I think last year my school went to six flags on gay pride day. And all these older kids were talking about how there were gay people. So from what i've heard, there are more gays there. And no I'm not anti-gay. If someone chooses to be that way it's there choice.

FYI: Sunday, June 27th is Gay Pride Day with the Halstead St. parade in Chicago. Gay Day at SFGAm is Monday, June 14. The current issue of Gay Chicago Magazine has a full page ad for the event.

Well, I really don't care if someone is Gay or not,
if they want to choose to live that lifestyle then it is their desicion and they have the right to do so.
So saying that, I dunno why this topic is turning into a big deal over people who are Gay (that is what I see happening.).

Back on topic,
If anyone finds out if it will be crowded or not let me know cause hopefully I'll have that day off and be able to go if the park isn't crowded.
This is where I would usually put stuff. Can't think of anything right now... =/

Enough, please, this topic is not here to debate gay/lesbian issues. It's not a choice and some of the comments here have been very rude. Frome here on out, please, just post how the day is and stuff like that.
