I was 30 and at work. We had a fitness center there with TV's so I ran down there to watch the news coverage. Then everyone at the HQ was allowed to go home. I also remember a day or two later when some fighter planes (F-16's I believe) "scrambling" and raced to O'hare (during the strict zero fly period). I was in my SUV and felt it shake! Some neighbors said it looked like their houses were moving sideways! The planes broke the sound barrier.
