Ragin Cajun

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

I was wondering: you know how on Ragin Cajun, there are indivdual cars?? How will the station be set up then? Is it all one line, then you just get four at a time?? Has anyone ever been on one of these types of roller coasters??>

I think the station can hold five or six cars, and they are dispatched one at a time. Think of Roaring Rapids, Loggers Run, or Ice Mountain Splash. (or maybe more like The Haunted Mansion at Disney, if you've ever been on that)

The one at Disney the cars keep moving while you are unloading and loading and there is no moving floor. It then stops at the front of the station were someone check your safety bar and then push a button and off you go.

I would suspect that the cars move very slowly through the station if there's no moving floor.

Others have explained it fairly well, though left out is, there is a seperate unloading area, as soon as you enter the station the lap bar is manually(I hope SFGAm makes it automatic) released and you hop out before the car stops, if there is no car in front of it it will coast right on through picking up new riders as it's still moving, but if there is a back up it will stop right behind the car in front and as soon as the car at the front of the line is loaded it's dispatched and all the rest move forwards at the same time. Petty neat to watch.

different cars, and Wildcat isnt capable of continious motion, but yeah, in essence, similar in setup to CP's Wildcat(queue and loading is basically exactly the same, though a few parks will load all empty cars in the station and you can sit in the car in the station for a minute or so as you advance to the dispatch point)

It does move so slow you really dont have to worry about that, it's maybe a slow walking speed, and the car is being driven by tires, not like it's just coasting along at breakneck speed :)
