yea i think Six Flags 2017 can be summed up in 2 words; COPY+PASTE
I was looking forward to at least one SF park w/ a big innovative coaster, (cough*T-Rex*cough) but alas, we are here. It's fine. At least I still have planet coaster and my imagination.

I was hoping for at least one original coaster too.

Why is no one going to RMC for a TRex or Raptor design yet? It's really almost concerning to me.

^^^ me too.. seems like RMC is gonna have a slow year in 2017 and that doesn't please me
(well i guess technically i believe RMC makes the tracks for the 4Ds but I can't imagine that being all that fulfilling for the brilliance that is Alan Schilke)
Does anyone know yet how the coaster will be sited next to Batman? Is the park removing the covered bridge between Orleans Place and Yankee Harbor? That would be very sad.

If you watch the video it looks like it's placed the long way in front of Batman without removing the bridge

Whoops! Sorry not the video. Check out the Facebook cover photo.
Will they just remove Yankee Clipper or is Loggers run on the chopping block also? I know it's old but I'll be very bummed if they remove both water rides that I grew up with and still enjoy.
I have a feeling a Rocky Mountain T-Rex still may be coming or something else for 2018. I know I keep repeating myself but watch for the picnic grove next year to have something. Those survey markers along the train tracks always appear about a year and a half before something happens. It happened with Goliath, X-Flight, Justice League & now Joker.

After doing 1 or 2 projects with RMC for 4 yr in a row, no project in 2017 may be a sign of cutting ties between SF and RMC for a while. RMC of Roar at AM made so much sense, after doing Roar at DK and they didn't do it.

They're not removing either for the moment, nobody knows about future plans...
According to Marcus LaShocks article, it states the following:
The ride will be positioned in Yankee Harbor right next to BATMAN: The Ride, stretching from the old Ragin' Cajun space, across the midway and over the space formerly home to the East River Crawler and Jester's Wild Ride. And yes, the covered bridge is going away.

The two rides are intertwined on the same space. I feel like they both have to stay or go.

Based on the image from Daily Herald, that bridge is comin' down.

This has already been confirmed this morning by Marcus Leshock Path is being completely redone and the cross into yankee harbor will now be under the coaster basically where u see that tent like structure over the midway
Here's an interesting question. What's going to happen to Gates of Hell now. It's overflow uses RC's spot. Maybe this is its last year and next year were going to get a new haunted house.
