Even though I was pretty despondent earlier, I still think there is a decent chance that we're getting a launch coaster. Maverick would fit(with slight modifications) right in the RC, ERC, JWR footprint, along with the available water space, plus, they'd be taking advantage of unused real estate that basically does nothing for them.

Hey, I don't want to fight, but all I want to say is that if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all! This whole website doesn't accept bullies. Don't make fun of anyone. The park officials and Six Flags management knows that the 1 or 2 coasters that are missing are an 80+ mph coaster, and/or a high acceleration complete circuit and multi-train launch coaster, especially in comparison to the Park's main competitor of King's Island. If they do not add a free spin this year, it is likely they will add one of those coasters by 2021, but the hopes for a giga or strata coaster are probably misguided unless they catch wind that KI or another nearby park will build one.

Strata is impossible because it exceeds the height requirement and Giga is only likely if more CF parks such as KI get one

If most rumors stand true, it's more than likely one and I highly trust my source who told me it'll be a 4D free fly. This guys looking for attention, that is all. We can all speculate with opinions but he HAS to be right. It's either his way or the highway.

(besides the fact, it's not like many people, if any, are actually saying it WILL be a 4D, it's just a thought that makes sense...)

Actually, according to my inside source that just texted me because the cost of a 4D is only around $7M and corporate gave us $10M to play with this year we'll actually be getting the 4D AND the flat package. It's going to all be a part of a major revamping of Mardi Gars!

This. A launch coaster in the vein of Maverick would drive repeat vists like no other. After visiting CP for the first time this summer, I absolutely cannot wait to go back explicitly so I can ride this and MF(obv) some more. If SF puts a launch coaster in, it would complete the park in my mind, save the mythical giga.
I think I'll stick with my flats package, too. Although a free spin would be amazing, I just don't see it fitting into that area without some form of additional construction.
