I was there yesterday from 11-12:30 and managed rides on Bull, Viper, Drop, Demon and Terror Twister before the crowds got a little larger. Even had some cold French fries during yet another disappointing Six Flags F&B experience. Liked to Fright Fest decorations, thought they were better than last year. Haven't managed a full day at the park once all year, but this was probably the best visit so far.

I thought it was really good this year. Clowns in County is different but I liked them in that area. I miss them in Mardi but County was a bigger space for them. I did Gates of Hell and Apocolypse Saturday since house lines were really long. MMC was a crazy long wait. I'll probably do it Friday or the next trip I go after that. I liked Gates of Hell. I did notice the Maus sign at the entrance to the actual haunted house. I liked Apocolypse too even though I didn't do the laser pointer part of it.
The Uprising was really cool with the red flames but it seemed like to me that the parade was really short. Other than that, it was good. Saw LAFF which was hysterical as always and saw Susan Rosen. Apparently I went out during the show. Don't remember anything that happened during that hour. The Witching Hour was rather interesting. I thought it was cool. I didn't take as many pictures as I would have liked but I'll take more when I go on Friday. I give FF an 8/10 this year. I didn't do MMC, Manslaughter, Fear or Abyss as I didn't even make it down to Harbor for the 2 houses down there. Im hoping to do MMC on Friday.
In true Dan the Coaster Man fashion, I will be going to SFGAm on the day of my school's homecoming dance day. For the second year in a row now... Lol. I will be at the park this Saturday, but not the whole day. Probably around 1pm - 7pm. I'm 99% sure I'll be wearing a blue jacket that near the heart it has a big "E" and underneath that it'll say "Griffins", and I'm decently tall. I'll be with my family, but if you see me don't be afraid to wave me down and say hey!

Ahh I see. I have family that lives in New Lenox and cousins that go to Central. I'm one of a handful that have to move to Central next year because of North's closing :/
Sorry for getting off topic lol. But I am wondering, generally, what time do the (lack of proper name) scare people come out?

A group of us went on Sunday, but we didn't do any haunted houses since my son and his friend are 5.
Crowds were very light. So light that I had to warn my son that the lines will be much longer the next time we come...LOL. My longest wait was for Goliath which was about 40 minutes at around 7pm. I managed multiple re-rides on Viper, Whizzer, and Demon. Although, the Demon got stuck in the station on our last re-ride. It was also down earlier in the day. The scare-actors were awesome and my son loved seeing everyone in costume. We went on a ton of flat rides too...fiddlers flung, orbit, triple play, east river kraken, condor, terror twister, etc.
All in all, it was a triumphant return to the park after a decade plus absence. I'm going to try and get back on the Saturday before Halloween.
^I should warn you that the second to last Saturday of Fright Fest is always the busiest day of the season. Last year, that day was the fifth busiest day in the park's history with over 52,000 guests (and the four days that were busier were way back when Marriott owned the park).
If you go that day don't go in with any expectation of riding more than a couple rides or doing any haunted houses. And good luck getting food.
Oh, I expect it to be nuts. We kind of just expect to walk around and get a ride or two in..or watch one of the shows.
We didn't even wait long for food...we grabbed a burger in the County Fair food court and maybe waited 10 minutes for our food. We went around 2, so it wasn't during the lunch rush. Not my first choice, but when everyone wants some thing different, it's not the worst place to go.
I'll be at the park tomorrow with my youth group, and since I'm known for being crazy for coasters I'm sure many people will be with me throughout the day. So if you see me and my squad just say hey! I'll prob be in shorts and a coaster t-shirt (Banshee or Diamondback) because the weather looks to be nice.

Agreed. I go hard on TT2

Has anyone been to a Friday Fright Fest this year? Just curious how the lines for rides (not interested in mazes) and food has been. Thinking of making a trip this Friday but it would be a 2.5 hour drive each way. Thanks!

We went the first Friday of FF, The park was fairly dead. Most rides were a walk on and food lines were one or two people tops. Best day to go, in my opinion.
