Whats going on? Is there any vertical construction even starting for raging cajun? Have they started to assemble the flats? Has V2 gotten its supports, and what about all these paint jobs...? I looks like great america is going to be a little behind for opening day... How many days are there now? 20 something... right? Dont drop the ball great america.. dont drop the ball...
if you read the other topics, some people have posted that painting has been done on Batman, at least one support is on V2, and if Im not mistaken all construction has started...though im not sure if someone said that in a topic or not. so there really is nothing to worry about.

Well the flat rides go up quickly wild mouse coasters are the fastest to assemble. I have no idea how the painting is going so far. The rides are supposed to open by opening day but well have to wait and see.
I was worried before, but now I'm even more worried because of what I just read on yahoo and screamscape. Not only is the park getting a new section that isnt constructed, 5 new rides, 6 new shows, more supports on V2 , and 3 new paint jobs that have only started on one coaster, the park is behind testing their current rides as well. Rides are supposed to go into test runs starting in march, and operate for private partys in april. Its april, and nothings happening. They are WAY behind on everything.
I was worried before, but now I'm even more worried because of what I just read on yahoo and screamscape. The park is getting an all new, awesome motion simulator this year. Theres actually 6 new rides. the simulator is a really popular one from a new indoor space park in germany, and is called stargate sg-1 3000 or sumthin. Its 20 mnutes long, and is coming with a rethemed line, preshow, and the simulator that will probibly be 3d. It will also go to sfmw, and sfkk if i remember correctly.
They are no further behind than any other year. It always gets like this right before the park opens. It's amazing how fast things can be built when in a crunch.
I know constuction's been going on a lot! and it's been in full swing since the weather's been warmer. They've done a lot on Stargate already. And the only thing i'm worried about is Rajin' Cajun. Like the others said, it doesn't take long to assemble a flat ride. But it may take some time with Rajin' cajun. So the section may be open and everything else as well. But i don't think that the cajun will be open by opening day. But it will probably done by the media day. Whenever that is.
Why does everyone say that three coasters are getting new paint jobs. The just want to fix the horrible looking "camaflogue" look on vu's supports. They are not going to paint over the whole ride
To my knowledge Media Day=When all the radio stations, newspapers, TV stations, and other forms of MEDIA come to the park while it is closed to the public (I think). They ride all the rides, some radio stations broadcast live while on a new ride and stuff liek that. Basically I think its just a way to get people out to the park for the first few weeks...

The assembly time for a Reverchon Crazy Mouse is 3-4 days. I dont know what we are to expect as far as theming, if we get good theming (Six flags does theme an occasional coaster) that could take a little bit of time. I'm 100% sure that Tim black & staff are perfectly on schedule, whether or not that means opening day, or late May we don't know. Dont get your panties up in a bunch guys.
I'm sure you guys will be fine. Just imagine if you didn't know the name of your park, who owned it, what the names of your rides were, or if you didn't know if your pass would be valid.
I believe that someone said this already but yesterday I went past the park on my way up to Wisconsin and Batman's lift is painted yellow.. it looks pretty cool

Yep, I saw that last friday.
This is where I would usually put stuff. Can't think of anything right now... =/

It's when media's invited to come and give the parks new attractions publicity, for the layman.

Don't you DARE speculate on how the ride testing is going. How the hell would you know??!! Are you there every day? Do you know what we are doing there EVERY DAY!!!!?? The test runs dont start until the end of March. And they are well under way. painting doesn't take that long when the painters work overtime.
