New ride for 2016

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Postby ChicagoCoasterGuy on August 21st, 2015, 5:21 pm
More than half of my friends have no idea what the parks do. They don't follow them on social media and could care less about it. When I talk to my friends about new rides they have no idea what I'm talking about and usually think I'm talking about our park.

I have been watching both videos over and over again... and in both, they consistently have the LOOPS... In the first video the OO in LOOPS is Underlined "LOOPS".. in the 2nd video.. there are 2 different sets.. on is a set of 3 loops, the other is the word 2000 with the o's intertwined as loops...

Now I have watched Justice League videos on Youtube of all the rides, and I am still not finding loops...
Yes, maybe we are getting one. but just because they "build one at a test park, and then roll them out" doesn't mean our park. I still do not think we have enough guests that will continually ride this without it getting "routine".. It is different on high speed coasters.. one could only ride Space Shuttle America so many times before it became predictable
We shall see I guess :D
Wish I could remember my regular log in...

They do advertise the first virtual loop on a dark ride for it, but I rode it at SFSTL this summer and don't even remember it! lol

I am still concerned about the capacity of the ride at our park and its reliability, which makes me question any decision to bring it here. It is a really cool ride though.

So...the friends who don't follow the park also don't see the teasers. That's why I think they're aimed at us...

you know the folks at Six Flags Great America are reading these forums and laughing their cans off (Yes I said cans, trying to keep it PG, lol) Especially if it isn't a dark ride, lol

I am still thinking a joker's jinx type ride.
1) this video shows purple paint with greenish paint. Same as supports & track on jinx
2) joker type theme in both videos
3) o's maybe referencing loops could refer to inversions on jinx though I confess the number of o's doesn't quite fit
4) jinx has those tunnel rings that are similar to the corrugated tunnel in the second video

Also the graffiti on the far left says AM..possibly a reference to six flags America?

People from TPR say that one of the men in the picture at JB's might be Sally Corp's CEO

I think a possible difference is that this has the "game" element that might make it more interesting (and the fact that SSA was never an especially good ride, while Justice League by all accounts is)...

What if nothing is going in the Southwest Ampitheater plot for 2016? Maybe that will be the plot for the 2017 addition, or a new kids section (Reinstalling the old Looney tunes rides) and we will get a Joker themed S&S 4D in Rajin Cajuns old plot for 2016? lol. I can't wait until September 3rd.....

I've considered that, but it doesn't really make sense to tear it down now if they're not using it until 2017 - the previous open spots we've had have been because something was moved to another park, but tearing down a theater that I believe was sometimes still used for no reason would be stupid.

I agree
I think he's the 1 in the black jacket with his back facing the camera. Looks like him from the small side view of his face

I will laugh my *** off if on September 3rd it isn't JLBFM  I would honestly believe that this is a JLBFM but the teasers just don't add up. However the teasers are more aimed for enthusiasts, so it could just be SFGAM completely messing with us.

I was at the SWAT today and they blocked off the whole thing and put up covers blocking the inside. I was on Raging bull and saw the inside of SWAT from it and everything was taken out and there was construction going on inside. The picture below shows the seats were pulled out and just in a pile. The part that was in the 2nd teaser video was blocked off and you couldn't see it at all.

Nice pictures acutler! Well.... This now leaves us with SWAT space, Rajin Cajun space, Sky Trail space, and Trail Blazer space for new attractions. Just give it time, Buccaneer Battle and the Pictorium will be history. Anderson and Co. are not messing around, out with the unpopular, in with the money makers, lol.

Now we're on a coaster kick.

I think I need to take some time away from the teasers & the forums till next week. 'Cause you all are makin my head spin around with these O's & loops! I must not be lookin as into it cause all i'm still getting is the dark ride concept.

Buttttt before I vanish, I will say this though as it hasn't been mentioned... getting a coaster without removing one would be incredible. I hate losing any coaster. Make room without taking one out! 8)

I love this part though. I'm a riddle freak! Someone is saying they see "hello 4D" but i'm not finding where that is. Can anyone else see it?

haha I tried that too, but still going cross-eyed trying to make out the purple paint. Oh well, likely just one more teaser before we find out. Probably JL:B4M but those loops are throwing me off :?

There is a poster on Club TPR who converted all the purple to hot pink to make it very clear. Other than more loops, the DS on the right side, and another HA, which are pretty clear even in purple, I don't see anything really noteworthy.

I tried to find the "Hello 4D" cited above, and I do see what could be construed as hllo (no e) followed by a mess that I guess could be seen as a 4 by some, and then a possible D, at the bottom near the center (in purple), but that might be a stretch, and I had to see it in pink to make it out.

One other note is that the construction/security shed is up at the Washington Exit so they will be starting very soon.
Not sure if that was posted before...if so ignore.

I'm know this is wishful thinking....but it'd be nice (whatever is coming) if it could be operational and ready to go opening day next year.

But I'm not holding my breath....I mean they couldn't get simple Larson Loops up and going. While you can't totally compare the set-up of a portable/fair model to the park models...it still really shouldn't be that much of a difference in terms of the time it would take.

Six Flags has made it very clear chainwide that they just don't care at all. It seems like they consider Memorial Day weekend to be the actual start of the season, and that's when they want all the new stuff ready. Maybe the idea is that people will come once early to go the the park ASAP and then will want to come back to try the new ride in May or June?

been lurking but to me what people are calling loops look like circles to me and they are underlined. I look at them as the red circle targets needed to be hit on the JL ride...

There are those, but there are some clear clothoid shaped loops in there, especially in purple on the wall.
