Whoever started this Fiesta Texas crap, cut it out I'm already irritated with it. If it's removed at all, which makes no damn sense - Then I hope the old damn thing goes to a much smaller park that can market it as a main attraction.
I still can't understand the complaints over Eagle's roughness. It's not even that bad when you compare it to Mean Streak at CP. If RMC touched Mean Streak then that would be a kick-ass ride I'm sure.

AMEN!
People we're not getting a coaster....let's stick with Justice League. When I go on Poltergeist today I'll tell it you all said hi

1st, I'm pretty sure it was never said plans were scrapped for Eagle in favor of Goliath. Hank said they looked into it basically and they are keeping their options open with Eagle.
2nd, I don't believe anything screamscape says until it's confirmed. They've been wrong before and we were a lock with Chang....there were even pieces at the park and that changed last min...so anything can happen
1) The park was suppose to give Eagle the RMC treatment in 2014. That was the plan. The plans were then changed once RMC went past Iron Wolf's spot and they decided to go with Goliath. That sounds like the park "scrapping" their plans for an Eagle redo. And this came straight from several credible park employees and people in their marketing department.
2) Don't trust a word Hank says. He said "Goliath will do 1000 riders per hour. It's lucky if it cracks 400 per hour.
3) Screamscape was NOT wrong about Chang. We were getting Chang. Everyone knew that. And once Screamscape knew, they updated their site as well. HENCE why I said, UNLESS plans change!!! My guess is that things won't change THIS late though...
acutler wrote:The purple on the American Eagle is probably just a hint to next year. The teasers on the Youtube and Twitter are themed to super hero's. Last year Six Flags Fiesta Texas hid hints around the park about the Gotham City. I think the American Eagle is being used the same way. If American Eagle were to be redone it would have closed by now because it will take a long time to redo it. Its the longest wooden racing coaster. Its longer the Colossus which closed on August 16th 2014. The only work seen in the park so far is in the Southwest Amphitheater. I think it will be a dark ride because the SWA is the right amount of space and it is rarely used.
FYI, the purple has NOTHING to do with the teasers. I was at the park Monday and the purple was still on Eagle. It has something to do with some sort of "awareness" month or something like that!

They are obviously joking
Really? Joking?
I am pretty sure people aren't joking when the constantly keep hoping that the freakin Sky Whirl returns? It's getting quite old honestly. We are not getting Sky Whirl back! Never have and never will!
midwestcoastergal wrote: Those who are so fond of the Eagle... I get it. It's an icon. People are sad to see the classics go. What we're NOT sad about, however, is the bruising from a neglected old wooden coaster, the major headaches that accompany the after-ride effect, and the all around discomfort of riding it to begin with. I have only been on two times this season (I live in the immediate area and frequent the park), and both times I couldn't enjoy the ride at all due to all the discomfort of the rough ride itself. It was horrendous- not to mention it looks HORRID. I saw lots of people avoiding it this season, and the lines were pretty much non-existent even on double ride dates. Eagle is no longer a draw, even on the busiest of days. I guess no parent wants to risk their small children getting concussions on a dilapidated old coaster that has definitely seen MUCH better days. The classics need to go eventually when they're past their prime to make room for better machines. Look at the auto industry - Ford didn't refuse to nix a design to make way for the new and keep up with an ever changing world!
Hoping for something new, different, and innovative that will continue to blow the competition out of the water!
Not quite sure where you are coming from. I have never ONCE gotten a headache or felt uncomfortable riding Eagle. It's a woodie. It's not going to smooth. I am pretty sure they replace wood on thing that ALL THE TIME.
And the lines reach maximum capacity during Fright Fest and the line was ALMOST at DDD the last time I was there. So it still draws a crowd.
Assuming we are to get the Justice League ride, doesn't it feel a little bit out of character for SF to post such an obvious first clue? The comic book print points right toward it. I feel like if were actually getting it they wouldn't give us something so straightforward right off of the bat.

Erm, they were just jokingly pretending that Six Flags was reading their posts. There's no need to take it that seriously. I have no idea what you are talking about. They were talking about Poltergeist, not Sky Whirl!

Sorry
There's no need to apologize, it's all just speculation.
It seems like the other side always wins on American Eagle Also, I've ridden Goliath 23 times in one day. HBU? (Sorry in advance for unnecessary commas and parenthesis every where)

Don't really see how you can say that when the purple Eagle was the main thing in the first video teaser and they posted what they did on Instagram. Maybe it's purple for another reason and its very possible they're just messing with us, but they certainly want us to think there's a connection.
This is highly unlikely, but it's not out of the picture. The second teaser is purple, with paint-type writing. Who else does that? The Joker. And what is the other Six Flags Premier Spaghetti Bowl called? Joker's Jinx. Is Poltergeist in need of paint? Yes.

I agree. I think it's fun to consider all possibilities, even if they might seem unlikely. I don't know why people get so angry about this just because they disagree.
I'm at the park now there's an excavator in side the amphitheater's area Tearing down the spy girl set. They also have the entrance to the left all blocked off about ten feet back with "please pardon our dust" signs. I'll post pictures when I get home.

eagle as closed all day at some point o was sitting out side of it around 4 and about 3 security guards and a Gurnee police officer walked into the queue rather quickly.
