When it actually got a train on it last season i thought it ran pretty well, and when it did break down...it didn't break down very long. So I think yes.
Top 5 wood-5-Goliath 4-Ravine Flyer II 3-Phoenix 2-Voyage 1-El Toro Top 5 Steel- 5-Velocicoaster 4- Maverick 3- Fury 325 2-Steel Vengeance 1-X2 Coaster Count: 444
It'll do fine, the breakdowns have been slashed and when it is down a lot of times it has nothing to do with the ride. Apparently they took care of the valley problem too.
I believe that sfgam with being under new management will change dramasticly (mis-spelled) So, I do beleive/hope that it will be operational by opening day, YES, OPENING DAY. I'll bet my two bucks on it.
Ok I will now take bets on Déjà Vu. Open or Closed On Opening day, odds as of right now are 2:1 I've got $2.00 on it being open do I hear $2.00 for it being closed?

I bet $2.00 it won't be open, Esp. if the weather is anything like it is right now. We all know how Deja likes cold weather. I really see Deja staying for a few more years and then being moved to another location. Six Flags has invested too much into Deja Vu to just remove it and be done with it. If Vekoma would get their act together and fix it, Deja Vu would be a much better coaster, and it'd be on of my favorites.

Alright thats $2.00.... Who else wants to wager?
Sorry Jason you're over your limit already, so no betting for you.

They booted Vekoma off the project before they opened it, what makes you think they'd call em back when they couldnt fix it before? (not to menchin SF already fixed all the major problems).

Really? Then what were all those Dutch guys in Vekoma shirts doing in late September 2001?
In case your wondering, the ride is Vekoma's until they hand it over to the park when its ready (happens in most cases), their time was up the contract said the ride would be operating by then and it was vallying every time along with a bunch of other problems so SF decided to take matters into their own hands, and probably hired another company to do some work on it (not 100% on that one though), but it wasnt Vekoma that was there to fix it.
I just wanted to share a funny story about Deja Vu. I can't remember if it was July or August of 2003... But I was waiting to ride, in the back and I was the next one to ride... The train had completed going up the 2nd spike when the two workers behind the control desk just started laughing. They came on the loud speaker and said that Deja had broken down, you can wait in line.. etc etc... What baffled me is why they all were laughing. Since I was in the last row for the back of the train I peered through the fence that seperates the last row from the control tower and it read on the screen... "Successful Runs - 1,000. I do not know if the ride had shut itself down due to it hitting the 1,000 mark or if there is something else.., I am just saying that from Fall 2001 to July or August of 2003 Deja Vu had only ran 1,000 completed trains, empty or not, successfully!!! That's insane!!! I bet Superman last year did that in May alone!!! Within minutes Mark (he is the man who makes the amazing Terror Twister every year) entered and did something and the ride once again worked.. He started laughing and said to me that Deja Vu had finally hit the 1,000 run. So, I was on the 1,001 run of Deja Vu.. Lucky me...
Hmm. I still have a heavy prediction about Deja and I will not give up. The park will have it up this year by opening weekend. If they don't I will blame it on the new "paint" job. LOL, j/k I think it'll be up though, I have a strange feeling that this year will be a great year for great america because it is indeed so great that we now have 6 other things to look forward to, it's all because they are really trying to greatly approve thier themepark. LOL Anyways, take care of each other and please be kind and considerate.
To me, it's going to be all about the weather as to whether or not it'll operate opening weekend. I was at SFGAM on a chilly day in July 2003, and you could visibly see the train struggling to make it up and through the cobra roll after the second tower. The chilly temperatures that day were in the low 60s. If they are dealing with weather any cooler than that, I would bet against it being open. I will say, however, that I think that the new management is going to do everything in its power to get Vu up and running early and often this year. The sense of annoyance with the ride was very clear during CoasterCon, so I'm pretty sure they're going to really try to get that ride headed in the right direction from this points forward.
I'm gonna twist ya, and I'm gonna flip ya. Every time you squeal, I'm just gonna go faster and harder.
