If for some reason Six Flags great America decided to put a dark ride like the one that they're putting in St. Louis "justice league" themed . What building would SFGM be willing to sacrifice in order to retrofit the standing building for the dark ride. I would say the pictoriam. They can put a subfloor that starts at the end of the theater all the way to where the screen is making it one level so in the future if they ever want to turn it back into a theater it's still usable. underneath the subfloor you can still use the building as a theater. They can also use the old overflow for the American Eagle which is now the former wiggles land in close that tent structure and use that for a building for the dark ride. There's also areas that would have to be demolished and the new buildings built on that area . For example the old Batman theater which has not had anything in it for years or the wilderness theater or some of the property in the back where they hold corporate events. They could move the corporate events to a new area which would be located where the old Ragin' Cajun was. Speaking of Ragin' Cajun what are they going to do it that area that's a pretty big piece of property including the area in front where the line was.what was in Ragin' Cajuns place before they installed that ride?
If a Justice League dark ride ever happens at GAm, wouldn't it make sense to plant it somewhere between Superman/Dark Knight Coaster and Batman The Ride? As it stands, putting it anywhere else would effectively give them 3 separate DC/superhero areas.
The most important thing to me is that it wouldn't waste land that otherwise may have been utilized for a more significant (read:coaster) addition. Find someplace that likely wouldn't have been able to accommodate a coaster to begin with and dump it there.

While I would like for that to happen, it just isnt going to.
They removed Ragin Cajun party due to the fact that there was a ride that was very similar very close, The Dark Knight. It is also still only a 7 year old coaster so it's not going anywhere anytime soon.

Nothing was in Ragin Cajun's spot before that ride. It was just part of the midway. Why not just use this space to build it new? I work in construction, and remodels often end up costing more than building new. This would keep it between the 2 DC areas that Muck suggested.
Otherwise take out a flume, maybe build it over/under the go carts.
If placement doesn't matter, how about where Buccaneer Battle is?
There was a second set of bumper cars for kids, after they closed em, the building was converted into a games building that usually had a mini golf game on the old bumper car floor, then the other part of the building was a wacky wire game. This map shows it
And here's a good 1988 map showing the re-purposed building, it's huge so leaving it as a clickable link..
I know its from '87, I'm just saying as a souvenier I wish I still had mine from the 90's, I think they should reproduce some maybe start from '76 and go to today just a thought, I bought the special ones from the 45th anniversary.
It seems like the other side always wins on American Eagle Also, I've ridden Goliath 23 times in one day. HBU? (Sorry in advance for unnecessary commas and parenthesis every where)
SFGAm's best choice was to never create a superhero themed area of the park, now they can dump their Superhero IP rides wherever they want and no one will question anything. Batman in Yankee Harbor, Superman and TDK in Orleans Place, go ahead and throw Justice League anywhere. Goliath in the back woods, X Flight in a County Fair, it doesn't matter.
Southwest Territory is the only place left that makes any sense at all, and I'm pretty sure it's only themed well because Six Flags hasn't touched it in 15 years so the old looking theming is actually just old and falling apart.

Well, Pictorium and SWAT are the only places big enough. I can see pictorium getting it. SFOT put it in a practically identical building, so I don't see a problem here. The entrance will probably be by the theater's current exit, and they'll redirect STT's exit. Again.
