I'm only gonna say this one more time. Look at what Kings Dominion just did for their 40th season. I really don't understand why this is a difficult concept for people.

That's exactly what I'm thinking. My best bet is that we will probably see paint jobs on Demon and Whizzer, Alot of old stores and eateries return back to their original names (Moose Burger turned back into Klondike Cafe for example) The old logo return, and the Home Town park regenerated with the games being moved elsewhere. They could pull off a very nice 40th celebration without spending much money at all. Changing names of eateries and reinstalling a few old rides which are already paid for and at the park would be very inexpensive
I am thoroughly convinced it will be a revamp to celebrate "40 seasons". I feel that something will go by SkyTrail at somepoint but it will likely be an "up-charge attraction" again. While I would love for them to bring back an old ride, not sure where they would put it! Let's hope they paint a bunch of stuff, fix up signs and get rid of things that "look bad" (maybe getting rid of the rest of the guard rails from the antique cars) Let's see what today's video brings and of course, what the full announcement is on Thursday!
Rumor has it that there will be a museum setup around Pictorium for the 40th anniversary of SFGAm, probably full of old park maps, pictures of the park over the years, ect ect.
@SFGreat_America: The final #GreatAmerica2015 video has arrived! Stay tuned for the big announcement this Thursday! #2moredays http://t.co/0VGEyH0AIo/s/UdSU
It looks like snakes gathering around a pyramid. I think we're going to see SWT turned into and Egyptian themed area. Raging Bull is now going to be called Screaming Pharoah.
"Everyone, listen to me! These jerks killed Superboy. They've tried to kill us. Now they say they're going to tear this city apart. I say... like hell."
I'm guessing that what's showing on that screen there is some sort of "40 Seasons" logo that they'll be using next year. It looks like it could be a Six Flags logo over a version of an old Marriott Logo:
That's exactly what I think the blurred out image is, a new Six Flags Great America logo, combining the old Letters and the Six Flags slogan. For someone like myself who Loves nostalgia, this may turn out to be one of the best seasons ever. Maybe when they were by the demon in that one video and they had the old logo infront of the sign... maybe that's a hint the old demon sign will return next year as well. Like I said, small things like that add a really nice touch to the park, it doesn't cost that much money to do, and leaves a good impression on people. I mean, how hard would it be to change Angelo's Pizza back into Captain Morgans? Not too hard at all, and it would compliment the park nicely.
OMG, anewman35, you are totally right! If they are using that old logo, just think of the other things they could add back! I was thinking the same thing too, when they showed the emblem in front of the Demon sign. I just hope they go all out and really do alot of good things for the park. Is it weird that im more excited for this than a new attraction?
I think the museum idea is very likely now as well. Especially with the one SFGadv did last year.

And the one that SFMM had a few years back.
It would also be great if they sold some very neat merchandise. Perhaps blueprints of the park like they have done with v2, iron wolf, roaring rapids, x flight, and American eagle. It really could be great of they do things right.
But why would they do this in 2015 when the park opened in 1976? Am I missing something here?

2015 is the 40th season they are open. 2016 (May 29th, to be exact) is the 40th anniversary of the opening. Honestly, they probably knew they were having a small addition next year so they decided to do the celebration next year instead of waiting a year for the (more common, I think) anniversary year, but either works, really.
Also, at least according to Wikipedia, "Great America celebrated its silver (25th) season in 2000", so the park has a history of celebrating a milestone season, not the anniversary of the opening date (which is always a year later).
Will we get nothing but original music in the park without "cleanest theme park" breaking in every 10 mins. Perhaps xflight music only in xflights queue. And county fair music back in that area.
Front gate music instead of Mr Nelson telling everyone how to enter.
This picture honestly looks like some kind of roller coaster loop. Maybe it is from the Demon.
What if it's blurred because Hank is wearing shorts? Jk. But seriously I've never seen the man with shorts on before. They almost look like an everyday employees shorts.
It seems like the other side always wins on American Eagle Also, I've ridden Goliath 23 times in one day. HBU? (Sorry in advance for unnecessary commas and parenthesis every where)
