As far as these Super Loops coming to other parks, I don't think they're bad additions at all, infact with the name Burboun Street Fireball at Six Flags America, I wouldn't put it past Six Flags to put the same thing, with the same name in Cajuns spot. After running wild in the late 90's and early 2000's under Burke I think they're making very sound, affordable investments to draw attention to the parks, but not getting carried away with things (AKA adding massive attractions to every park every year on borrowed money) So far Great America has been blessed, we have gotten the best additions of all the parks.
I think once Six Flags is out of debt, they could do something were one/two parks get a nice "big" and somewhat expensive addition to the park. And I don't mean an RMC, I'm talking a good ol' B&M or something like that. Not that all of these additions now are bad, but I would like to see some "bigger" additions to each park.
I don't think Super Loops are bad, but, it seems like a bit of a stretch to call them coasters.
On a related note (in that they seem to be Six Flags two favorite rides), we're now going to be one of only four Six Flags parks (if you count The Great Escape) without a SkyScreamer. I think it still has to be expected we'll get one in the next few years.

I agree, I don't consider them coasters, neither does rcdb.com, seeing as that Brain drain at Elitch Gardens isn't listed as a Coaster. I'm sure we will eventually get a Sky Screamer within the next few years. I'd assume Magic Mountain will get a huge 400 foot one, especially since Knotts doesn't have their wind seeker anymore, and Great America will probably get one around 256 feet due to our height limits.
No real video till tomorrow. Short video today... he is by the old Root Beer store drinking outside of it where they used to have the 5 cent root beer ...another hint pointing Hometown Square maybe? Coke would never allow that to return.
Actually, does anybody know the history of that place? I remember it being a root beer place back when I used to go to the park in the 90s, but I'm sure it wasn't 5 cents...
Also worth noting (if you can't see the video) that the final video is tomorrow, and he's going to try to crash the announcement of what's new to the park employees.
Just FYI, I was doing a little more digging in the leaked Six Flags stuff and it seems like there's going to be a special sale on Season Passes that's ONLY going to be valid from this Thursday to Monday. Something to keep in mind if you're going to need to get some people together for that four pack deal.
If Ameri-Go-Round is reinstalled, i wonder if they'll get the band organ back in that thing. When David was sitting on that Pig on the Carousel, that just screamed Ameri-Go-Round and Porky's Buzzy Bee's, especially now that we have all these other videos and know that they're celebrating their 40th next year. Hopefully we'll see a few old resteraunts be restored as well, Captain morgans sea food, etc. Plus the old logo return.
Im gonna be that guy and read into something way too much, but I feel like the fact that it's a flash sale could mean that's the name of the new ride. Screamscape thinks that a bunch of six flags are getting super loops, so maybe we'll get a super loop called the flash. I'm gonna go ahead and make that my final guess.

Nope. That URL is the same for every park (try to put another park name in, you'll see). And we have the first paragraph of the press release, which doesn't say a word about a new ride, so that's not happening. It DOES say "classic rides", so I still see the chance that they're bring stuff back, but it makes no sense at all that they'd really hype up a Super Loop like they do in the SFA and SFGAv press releases (which have also partially leaked) and have it as an afterthought in ours.

Well I'm gonna go ahead and take my guess back hahaha. I give up trying to figure out what's happening.

I'll throw a guess in here. I get those e-mails from Six Flags about future attraction and planning surveys. One of the last surveys mentioned a few possibilities including asking about a museum attraction focusing on their past. I think that may be one of the new attractions along with a few classics brought back such as Ameri-Go Round and maybe something else. I could also see one of those Super Looper things being added if it's true that many Six Flags parks are getting them also.
I am very confident that we are NOT getting a Super Loop. If we were getting a "coaster" (which is what Six Flags is referring to these as), THAT would be the big headline attraction and any 40 seasons stuff would just be the stuff a few paragraphs in.

My mom only went to SFGAm once, back in the 70s. She definitely remembers her bottomless Root Beer for a Nickel. Hell, that's just about all she does remember.

It seems like the other side always wins on American Eagle Also, I've ridden Goliath 23 times in one day. HBU? (Sorry in advance for unnecessary commas and parenthesis every where)

What's interesting is that most of the "classic" stuff I remember is all from the 90s, and so isn't really the original stuff. It'll be interesting to see if they really try to go back to Marriott era stuff or just to early Six Flags stuff.
They could move whirligig to the center of Home Town Square and get a modern day flying scooter and stick it in Yankee Harbor and resurrect the Davey Jones Dinghies, lol.
I hope that no ride is put into the middle of Hometown Square. I just want them to replant grass and trees there and remove the Ig-Night stage so we can actually use the Hometown Square train station again and not just the exit ramp.
CoasterCale wrote: Since when are Dining Passes $100 for the regular season? I hope that isn't the case. It's been real nice this year.
After a certain date, the prices increase on the dining pass (usually after mid June or so). From the looks of it, this is still the 2014 dining pass being available on the website.
