Got a chance to ride Goliath front row today. WoW the drop almost felt like a negative drop like Maverick. I have rode Goliath 3 times and I can't get over how smooth and quite this coaster is. I used to be impressed when riding X-Flight not anymore. The front did seem a little more snappy then the back row. RMC thank you for the great coaster!!! I would like Viper and Eagle done also!!

Hello! I have been visiting this website for some time now. For whatever reason, I just registered now. I rode Goliath yesterday, so I wanted to give my review.

I followed the construction of this coaster so closely. I checked the webcam and this site almost daily to see if any progress had been made. It was a long 10 months of waiting since the announcement, so I was so excited when I was finally next to ride. I had very high expectations for this coaster, expecting it to land in my top ten and fall just in between El Toro and Millennium Force. I rode in the back my first ride, as I heard it gave the wildest experience.
First Drop:The first drop on Goliath was really great, you can just feel the steepness of it and the back gets a pretty good yank down the hill. I would have maybe liked a little more butterflies on the drop, but the drop still lived up to what I expected.

Top Hat: I really enjoyed this element, but It really was not as crazy as I thought it would be. I heard you get some airtime on the exit of the turn, but I never really got much. It is still really fun, just maybe not as wild as it looks

Airtime Hill: This takes the cake for me. Towards the back of the train its more floaty, but in the front its some true ejector airtime! The best part of the ride to me! I rode Expedition GeForce not even a week ago, and this hill was EGF like.

Dive Loop: This was really cool, but not exactly something I had never experienced before. I like how you get dumped quickly upside down, and the wooden beams in your face is cool, but the element in itself is good, not great.

Zero G stall: This element was so hyped. It was really fun and is easily the best inversion on the ride, maybe best inversion in the park. I would not consider it, " the best element on a coaster ever", as some people have said, but as far as inversions go, sure its up there!

Twist and Shout: This did not do much for me. You look at the turns, and you just feel like it should through you out, but it really kept me planted in my seat. Just like the top hat, it unfortunately looks crazier than it actually is. The airtime into the breaks is pretty good!

So guys, I know I sounded a bit negative, and its my first post, but I am definitely not a negative guy. For this one, its just my feelings. So unfortunately, yes.........I was a bit disappointed  . And maybe its my own fault. I expected this thing to be a top 10 coaster, maybe even top 5. Its just that you hear RMC this, and RMC that, and it makes you think that every ride that they are affiliated with automatically makes it the best ride in the world. Overall, Goliath is very very good, but I can't call it great even though I really want too. My 2 cents.

I agree with you on the airtime hill. Even just watching it, it flys over it and you can just feel the airtime.

The 3rd hill makes everyone's hair stand on end. I love watching that!

Honestly, it takes a few rides on Goliath to really appreciate it. Try different seats, etc. It's a ride that gets better the more you ride it.

I got to the park at about seven Sunday night to ride the ride and rode three times, one in the very back, one in the middle, and one on the second seat behind the front. So I have experimented a bit, but I can't wait to experiment more! That is one good thing, this ride will have forever to grow on me as I go all the time!

BTW you guys might be interested by this, but at around 7:30 when I got in line, it was about an hour wait. However, my last two rides at the end of the night were only 10-20 minute waits! I think the fireworks and work in the morning for most people played a factor.

The drop is incredible. The airtime hill is out of this world. The zero-g stall melted my mind. Never walked off a rollercoaster shaking before this one. Just relentless from beginning to end.

Line did get close to the three hour mark yesterday in the mid-afternoon. Was down to two hours by about 8:30.

My friends and I are going tomorrow and after not riding it for a week, I'm looking forward to riding it again. I know it's short but I'm not complaining about it. It's still an awesome ride in my honest opinion.

How have lines been for it since it's been a few weeks since it opened? I'm more curious about weekdays really. I know on opening day, if you went straight there before the park opened, it could be 10 minutes to 45 minutes depending on how fast you walked there. If too much time passed, the line looked to be over two hours if you got there around 11am or noon. Is that still the same way or a little less crowded?

I was at GA yesterday and the wait time for Goliath was 150+ minutes early in the day, but dropped to 120+ minutes around mid day.

7/7/14 was about a 45 minute wait after jogging there at opening... That included the 30 minutes of downtime between open and the start of operations at 10:30am... If you didn't jog there and/or were stuck in the entrance of the park, the wait was somewhere in the 70-90 minute category... For most of the day, 120 was the posted waiting time with the line being at various stages in the temporary cue at the train station... Around 6-8pm, I heard several different people mention that wait time was 180 minutes with one person saying that they actually posted 180 minutes on the board... I was off in other areas of the park, so it's 2nd hand knowledge and take that for what it's worth...

Still watching the weather for the weekend to see whether to head over or not. Glad I still have my two exit (well, Flashpass entrance) passes before I start battling the really long lines. Probably going to be a single rider anyway...we'll see how that works out based on the latest reports of how they're operating with single rider passes.

I was there yesterday and got my second ride of the season on Goliath. We entered just about 10am and walked briskly to Goliath along with plenty of other people doing the same. We got there and waited in the queue line for the ride to open. It started running just a minute or two after park opening. We got on the ride about 11am so not bad at all but that line got big quick. Walking or even jogging directly to Goliath is a must. If it even gets to 10:30 or 11am when get to Goliath, it looks like you will be wait a good two hours or more and most of it is the extra queue which has no shade at all. So expect to get burnt pretty good too on top of waiting all that time.

The rest of the park seemed pretty busy for a weekday and I'm sure that was partly because of the bring a friend for free for Gold Pass members. When we went a few weeks ago on Goliath's opening day, all the other rides were walk-ons or just a few minutes. Yesterday, X-Flight was probably about 30-40 minutes at about 11:30am. Demon was about 20-30 minutes around noon or a little after. Raging Bull was 45 minutes around 1pm and Whizzer took about 30 minutes or so around 2pm. Not horrible but certainly we were spoiled from a few weeks ago.

Wait, you can go to Goliath line before the park opens. Every time I've gone, I've had to wait in hometown square until the park opened.

They open the front gates at 10am... Once inside, you can go anywhere you want in the park and start forming lines for rides... Usually they begin forming outside the que... Usually a few minutes before 10:30am, they will then allow folks to enter que, and if all the safety checks are good, ride operation will start at 10:30am...

I was able to ride Goliath 4 times today and let me tell you, it is an incredibly AMAZING ride! It is my second favorite roller coaster. I still like El Toro a little bit more than Goliath. Goliath for me is hands down better than Raging Bull.

Yes, go left. And if it's possible for you, jog the entire way. I walked briskly only because I didn't want to leave my friends behind and still only waited about 30 minutes from when it opened. If you got in early enough ahead of the crowd and jogged the entire way, you would probably make it on one of the first two or three trains.

Every time I try to run to Goliath in the moring, I'm out of breath by the time I get to East River Crawler. I guess I should get in better shape :?

I'm curious what the rain will do to lines/operation today... 1st year having a pass for me, so just going on a whim given the bad weather south, but semi-decent up there... Looks like no lightning, so we should be clear... We shall see...
