Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

I called SFGAm like I do whenever I dont get my renewal stuff by the end of feb. They told me they would mail another one to me when they get the extras back from the first mailing.Well I still didnt get it and alot of you did according to the thread I read .So I called today and the lady said there will not be a Early processing day like in the past.I always waited for that so I could go and look around at the park (at least up until just past the bridge for the train) before the season starts and see new stuff that was added or painted and also rides being tested like superman last year.I am going to miss it. :(

Well, I do not how many people Process there passes on Season Pass Processing Days but I suspect quite a few people do. So that means that the Line for Season Pass Processes is going to so long on opening day. I do not understand why they are not having them. Every park has Season Pass Processing Days. I suspect that every park has Season Pass Processing days so it will reduce the wait time on Opening Day when everyone will rush to get there Seasons Pass processed.

The reason she gave me was that most people getting passes have had them in the past and will order them on line or in the mail. Then the new pass will be mailed. Their picture is on file since they switched to digital cameras last year.so only a small minority will be new passholders making smaller processing line and no need to pay employees to be there for weekends and nights saves them money.

if you renew online you dont have to wait in line anyway. They will use last years picture and ship you this years pass.

It's all about the $$$....

Why have the park open for 3-4 hours to get your season pass processed when you can do it the day you go.

Besides, it's not like you have to wait in line to have it processed the first minute you step into the park. Just wait an hour or so, and the line will be smaller.

Plus, it suprised me last year at how long the line was, but half the people in front of me did not have the back of their ticket thing filled out. The employee pulled them to the side to fill it out.

I'm sure you're not going to die if you can't go one week early to get a pass processed, and don't worry about trying to see construction, testing etc. becuase I'll doubt you'd see it anyhow. I know that's a reason why most of us are really trying to hide.

You dont, but the park has to have everything ready and clean, and staff employees just for those days. Kind of pointless.

And the another variable is that there is a lot of construction and paint going on, and when ACERs are in the park when theres construction, you never know whats going to happen......

The think is all the other parks have Season Pass Processing Days. It does not cost them much to have a few people working there for a few hours. I suspect they are going to stomp there self’s on the foot when opening day comes and the line will be so long they will not know what to do.

How many of you are actually getting a "new" pass? Just renew your pass from last year, if you have one, over the internet.

Plus, I'm sure they have other things on their minds right now at the park besides trying to plan dates so people can process their passes early. It's not like it a big loss to anyone either. So you don't get on a coaster/attraction because you run out of time having to wait in line on opening day to process a pass. You have a season pass, you can go back anyday of the operating year. The attractions aren't going anywhere.

Some people on these forums are right. We are getting all these new attractions and additions, but yet people still complain that they aren't going to have any early days to process a pass.

Id like to say I never complained about it -I just said I had done it in the past and looked forward to it.Just because we like something and you have a diffrent opinion dont come down on us.Your posts in this thread have a sarcasm to them.If you liked something and it was taken away would you not miss it?Just cause you dont like something you dont need to rag on people who do.SFGAmkid

Whats the freakin big deal? Oh no we cant walk down Hometown Square a week before the park opens!!! It's not like you can do anything besides look at Whizzer and get your pass processed. People thinking that they can see something else cant, and if you try, your gonna have to get by the line of employees streaming across the midway .

My kids like getting a new id every year because they like to see a ew picture of themselves and they save all of their id's and like to compare past pictures on the id's with the new ones.
So we like driving up to SFGAM and getting our new passes and then getting a bite to eat and do some shopping at Gurness Mills or outside the mall. The kids get excited by being in the park and then look forward to the n ew year.
I do think this will cause alot longer lines in the park for season pass processing and it just another example of Six Flags "not getting it" when it comes to customer service. The goal should be to decrease wait times in lines and not increase them.

Which is why they sent the "it's time to renew" letter to all of last seasons passholders.

papas- you just said in a past post that you dont like to do things over the internet or through mail....which is exactly WHY some people are complaining about no pass proccessing days this year, because they dont trust something that expensive going through the mail. :x

Walking through Hometown Square has nothing to do with it. Most people could care less about that. The big deal is having to wait in a big line on opening day just to get your pass processed during time you could be using to ride rides.

Most people do not want to go in the Afternoon to process their pass. Why? Well first of all after spending hours at a park you do not look the greatest. Plus People just want to get it over and done with. Also, that piece of paper they give you can easily get lost and then what do you do? So that’s why almost everyone rushes in the morning to get it processed. If there are no processing days the line will be longer. It does not mater if you can do it by mail or not. They should have processing days even it cost them tons of money. The main reason I want to process my passes early is because other people who will be going with me will already have a processed season pass or will not be getting a pass. So that means that my whole party will have to wait for me to process my pass.
