I'm only saying the next major coaster will come in 2016 because it's GA 40 anniversary. Let's say for now no coaster at all in 2015. I think we're see either a SkyScreamer or a dark ride in 2015.
Goliath appears to be a smash hit with the GP, and the Corporation must see Great America as a significant revenue generator based on our additions over the last few years compared to some of the other Six Flags Parks..... Riptide Bay, X-Flight, and Goliath, Great America is getting the deluxe treatment which leads me to believe this trend will continue. Look at Canada's Wonderland! Cedar Fair obviously see's a very good return on it's investments from that park, that's why they're adding so much capital into it. I don't think it will be a new coaster next year, but I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if It was a Sky Screamer or a Massive Dark Ride in the SWA spot.
Breaking: Six Flags Great America announces new never before seen at the park flower beds which will go at the front of the park in and around carousel plaza. These beautiful flower beds will feature plants not yet seen at the park.
I think we will most likely get a SkyScreamer or Bonzai Pipelines(not so likely, since we already have mega wedgie and dive bomber which are similar) next year. It's very unlikely to see another coaster since we just got Goliath, but who knows? Personally, I would like to see an El Loco or a Firechaser Express like coaster in RC's spot, maybe for SFGAm's 40th Anniversary?

There is no way a coaster like Firechaser will fit in RCs spot
This topic is supposed to be based on realistic stuff. Besides a kiddie/family type coaster, we won't see any coaster arriving for the 2015 season. Sky Screamer, flat ride, or dark ride will be what gets added if a ride goes in at all.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

I second this. Skyhawk at CP is the best flat ride I've been on.
I wouldn't mind at all if they tore out that POS Buccaneer Battle and put a Screamin Swing in that location. It would actually get traffic and Six Flags wouldn't be paying employees to stand there all day for the couple dozen riders Buccaneer Battle gets, lol. Following the trend of this managment, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if that thing comes out within the next few years.
I'd love a Screamin Swing in this park. We need a kickass flat in this park.
EDIT I originally said SkyScreamer, I met Screamin Swing. I get their names mixed up at times. A SkyScreamer is one of the last things I would want at this park, I'd rather have an empty plot of land or a giant sandbox

Can GCI trains run on viper or eagle. If so I would like to see it happen 2015. I would rather see a dark ride in 2015. The blue side of eagle has always been the side to run backwards so why can't the red side run backwards.
I'd love to see a water coaster in the water park. I think Hurricane Harbor is one of the best water parks around, a solid water coaster is exactly what it needs.

OMG people will you please take some Pepto Bismol for that diarreha of the mouth with that Skyscreamer business. They are stupid rides it is the Whirligig on steroids nothing more. Why can't you fools see this? In truth I think this would be such a mediocre ride it wouldn't even be worth it. Why can't our park ever be different why does it always have to have copy cat rides? Well this park and this park have it we'd better get one too jeeze jump on a bandwagon much?. I agree with a thrilling flat even something in the dark could be fun, but would you just let the Skyscreamer die already, there are a ton of other rides that have come out that I feel would pack a better punch than a 300ft tall lightning rod. Btw think of the wind a few days ago there were winds of 75mph near Waukegan, why would the park put in a ride that has to close when the wind gets to be too much?

I think your confusing Funtime Starflyers with Mondial Windseekers. I can't remember the last time any Starflyer closed due to Wind. Also I love those rides, Granted backwards is slow and boring but forwards is scary and exciting.
I would like to see them bring back the antique cars. I have such great memories riding those as a kid. Also some of the other kids rides they have in storage like Bumble Bees, Red Barron planes, and Loony Toons Train. I would love for my kid to enjoy the same rides I did growing up going to Marriot and Six Flags.
Heres another pointless map of speculation. I don't know how Great America wants to handle the water rides but at a certain point they will get old, and they will need to be removed. Regardless, the whole Roaring Rapids section of the park is pretty big, and even bigger now with Raging Cajun removed. I also want to point out that they have even more room in you include the Yankee Clipper section.
I also like that huge hill that is next to the employee road. I don't know what they would really be able to build on that, but it doesn't seem like a completely limited barrier. The hill is huge and steep, so building anything on that would require some creativity that I don't feel Six Flags has.
As far as brand new coasters, it doesn't seem like they will be adding anything until they take something else out. As much as it would suck, I can see Demon and or Whizzer being removed to make room for the next one.

We just got X-Flight and Goliath, are those not unique? Even Buccaneer Battle, you can hate it if you want but its not a copy of what every other Six Flags has.
I tend to evaluate potential rides based on what my seven year old is interested in, and she'd LOVE a skyscreamer. A ride doesn't have to be the scariest ride for thrillseekers only to be good, the park can really use more midrange family rides.
