I think its funny. I think they are goin all out with advertizing this year and really trying to attract families with more rides, and new commercials. Before, I'd see a commercial and never see it again for a month. Just yesterday I saw that commercial 3 times in under 2 hours.

I think that the spot was very well done, quite possibly the best I've seen in recent years. While I'm not a fan of "We Like to Party," I think that the whole new aiming at famlies and the "It's Playtime!" slogan will serve Six Flags well. For those of you who don't like it, do keep in mind that it is not really aimed at you, it's aimed at families.

This commercial should help attendance this year.

This is definatly a better approach for six flags this year because in the past years all i remember were shots of the huge new coasters, people on the huge new coasters, then just like a little of anything else...this is definatly a better idea
Top 5 wood-5-Goliath 4-Ravine Flyer II 3-Phoenix 2-Voyage 1-El Toro
Top 5 Steel- 5-Velocicoaster 4- Maverick 3- Fury 325 2-Steel Vengeance 1-X2
Coaster Count: 444

I laughed my butt off the first time I saw the commercial. That dancing old man is just too funny. But then again, I will laugh at just about anything.

And I completely agree with what w00dland said. The commercials in the past were chessy at best. These new ones, while still cheesy, have more to them then just the standard stock photos that seemed to be thrown together and tossed on the air.

It seems dorky, but I kinda think that you can tell alot about a place by it's advertising and marketing. So in my mind, Six Flags now having better commericals means that they are paying closer attention to detail. Which therefore means that things are improving.
Maybe the next step will be hot water in the women's bathrooms. :)

The past three days, they have really been pumping it out on TBS and WGN. I personally laugh everytime the old man starts dancing, and everyone looks at him like he's nuts! :D
