Hey guys tomorrow morning on the Today Show at 7am there will be a feature about Goliath that was filmed during the commercial shoot if any of you want to watch it! I know I will be!

Edit: just realized I posted in the wrong thread damn phone lol o well close enough

The ride is short but the question is, is it too short? It depends on the ride experience it gives and every coaster is different. Although I don't think it's a big deal that they fit (not crammed) 3,100 feet of track in that area since Iron Wolf had 2,900 feet in a smaller area. Also, Viper has 3,500 feet of wood track in a similar or only slightly larger area than Goliath. The ride (Goliath) simply goes back and forth a few times so I don't see it as a major accomplishment. If it went in and out of itself a whole bunch of times like Thunderhead and others, it would be a different story.
That isn't to say the ride won't be great and I look very much forward to riding it.
Goliath opening might be delayed if it does rain. Right now Tuesday-Sarurday shows rain in the forecast. That's what the weather app on my iPhone says. I hope that's wrong.

Supposedly they actually were setting up today to air live tomorrow on site!? They may use that clip from Saturday but from what I have heard they will be live in the park tomorrow!

Yes, like 100%
With all the bad luck this coaster has had, plus we all know that SFGA opens for the season with several coasters not running at full capacity.
Yeah, I know this is a coaster grand-opening so it would make sense to have 2 trains ready, but what makes sense isn't necessarily the same as reality. And sometimes reality is a cruel thing.
Either way people will complain and whine, so I say go ahead and open it with one train if need be.
This will be the first media day i miss. Damn work. Can't get any time off.

Candy: What you lookin' at? Otis B. Driftwood: I'm lookin' at you, mama. Candy: Yeah, you see something you like? Otis B. Driftwood: Maybe. I set my standards pretty low, so I'm never disappointed.
I wonder why it appears they are doing 2 media days? Seems like it got a lot of coverage on this morning with NBC Comcast! The Weather Channel covered it? You know it's nuts if the Weather Channel had it on!
Weather doesn't look to good tomorrow.... Any chance the ride will have down time or the possibility of Media Day being rescheduled? I doubt they would...
It isn't supposed to rain constantly. As long as it isn't heavy rain or if lightning is involved things will proceed, there just might be some delays. I'm kind of glad I have "second shift" for Media Day (reporting at 8 am) . The overnight stuff might be clearing out by then.
It's a official, I am going to GA Thursday no matter how bad the weather is (as long as it isn't lighting). This will be the first time I will be riding a coaster on its opening day.
I will be attending Goliath's media day as well and will be live tweeting my day in the park. You can follow along with my day on Twitter with the user name: @jon_winters.

Have you seen the forecast? There's very likely going to be lightning for at least part of the day. Might work out for the best for those who do attend, because if there are gaps in the rain at least it should keep the crowds lower.
As for people wondering why they had Media coverage on it on Tuesday instead of Today is because Today is also Media day for Universal's Harry Potter area.
