I'd love to go Thursday but I've been struggling to get a ride there... Still waiting on an answer from one friend though so there's still hope otherwise I'd have to wait until July I think when there are more free friend days (I'm only 15 so I can't drive without an adult and I don't have a car)

^Not sure what area you're coming from but if you're in Chicago, there is a special Pace route that goes directly to the park on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The only problem with that is that you're committed for the day since it leaves to get there in the morning and only leaves after the park is closed. If you don't live too far elsewhere from the park, there are Pace buses that run along the park with the addition of Metra trains and you could take one of the aforementioned buses from there to the park.

Goliath and Coasters after dark? LOL. You'd be lucky to get on it once during that event.

Unfortunately I live by lake Geneva and I have no clue as to if a taxi would possibly go there but that would probably be really expensive too so

I'm hoping to go next Wednesday if I have the day off. It all depends on what day off work I have, then I can determine when I'll get to ride it.
SF trips 09 = 15
SF trips 10= 11
SF trips 11 =7

I heard that on Saturday, a 1 hour ERT will happen, but for X-Flight and Demon only. Don't know why they're only doing those 2, but I guess they need to get more people on those rides.

I remember seeing something about it elsewhere as well. It just listed those two rides for SFGAm

I remember the day XFlight opened to the public, one of the local radio stations held an event where people could get into the park for free, got a tshirt, breakfast and got to be one of the first riders that day. We had to be there by 7 am if I remember right. Has anyone heard of anything like this happening for Goliath?

I have a question for my cousin from Germany.
He concerns about his weight if he cannot fit the ride (Goliath). He weighs 271 lbs. Is that okay with his weight or not? What's the weight limit of it?

Goliath, like every other ride does not have a set limit. It's a matter of fitting.

^^ I'm almost positive he will fit the lap bar. As for the seatbelt, I have no idea.

It's not specifically just about weight, but about proportions. If he's only 5'4 and weighs that much, probably not. If he's over six feet and a muscular frame, then there is a good chance he will. It depends on his build and not the number of pounds directly. I haven't been on this coaster yet but don't think it would be much different that most lapbar coasters. Typically Intamin coasters with lapbars tend to the most unforgiving and even when I've been 250-255, I've fit with an inch or two to spare on the seatbelt. It all depends on a person's dimensions. Also for a point of safety, with any lapbar, you want to make sure it is resting solidly on a person's legs and not their stomach. Even if the lapbar "fits", it's not safe to have it resting on your stomach and that's how we've seen some riders unfortunately thrown from rides.

I hope to go to Thursday to ride Goliath as long the weather is nice. If I don't make it Thursday then I am going Saturday.

Forecast for Thursday is not nice. Showers and storms likely all day.

Hopefully it doesn't rain in the morning. I want to get on Goliath as soon as possible Thursday before the line reaches a 5 hour wait.

The first week of Goliath's opening will be a BIG mess as far as lines go.
