More than likely it will not be open! I wouldn't take my word for it but not seeing testing on a daily basis by now makes for no room to open it up in 5 days!
I filmed a Goliath test run video today, check it out! Ride is running great! ...and eerily quiet... only screams will be heard! Can't wait! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t6wEOqF2AK0

I think orange or red lights on the ground lighting up the lift hill, over banked top hat, negative G floater hill, and the dive loop would look great! The lift hill can also have white runner lights on it, evenly spaced apart - all the way to the top.
They got to put lights on it anyway, can't run a coaster at night with no lights on - unless it's Fright Fest or something.

Please tell me there's no possibility that there will be trim brakes on what we've been referring to as the "airtime hill." From the video it appears it could deliver some solid airtime...If they don't trim it.
^^^ I would be genuinely surprised if the airtime hill received a trim. The dive loop and zero g stall are so tall that I think that the train would have a hard time getting through those elements if the ride was trimmed anywhere. Also, I don't think any RMC rides are trimmed (besides NTAG or IRat due to the MCBR). Outlaw run is not trimmed at all and there is extreme ejector air on that ride.
I was at the park yesterday, June 5th, and got some photos of Goliath plus a few videos of testing.
The ride was tested 4 times before park close, with testing starting around 7pm. The lift hill chain is running at snails pace right now, but it will be quicker once the ride opens. The ride looks great. Work was being done on the top of the lift hill, lift hill, and zero g stall throughout the course of the day. Pictures will be forth coming. I just have to get them off my phone. The ride ran smoothly it seemed. The the whole queue line looks great and ready to go with all the signs in place. For a wooden roller coaster, it really looks like there is a substantial lack of wood because of the steel supports for the lift hill and zero g stall, but the orange topper track looks great! Still no signs of the red train yet, and apparently the storage track is not in place yet either.
Hopefully, the ride will be ready soon! Pictures and videos will also be on Goliath's Facebook page, www.facebook.com/goliathrc
Just got the email from Six Flags Great America. The #Goliath Media Day has been rescheduled for Wednesday, June 18th. I'll be there LIVE for WGN Morning News starting at 4am! #HandsUp

Command reporting they have a roof fire near the Goliath roller coaster, possibly out, companies working.
Im hearing it was just a fire on the roof of the station or it just affected the roof. The station is old...who kno the reason behind it. I would not go into panic mode yet. repairing a roof is easy! Let's hope the Media day continues to be on board for Wednesday June 18th!!
Ironic. I was just going to post how the entire area/ride looks pretty nice except the roof of the station. I was surprised they didn't re-do it considering it looked so old (bad?).
