I'm sure that it will test by the end of the weekend if not the start of next week. It's only of matter of finishing the grout and getting the rest of the trains into the station etc. Also does anyone know if a tarp or some sort of cover will go over the beginning added part of Goliath's queue. I'm not exactly sure, as it would look out of place so probably not but you never know.
There wasn't a cover over the queue that was there for Iron Wolf, so I would say that a cover wouldn't be added. Also, will there be pictures in the frames for the station that the artwork shows, or will it stay as it is.
I've been wondering that too. I really hope so because it would make the station really pop out.

When this does open, how will it affect crowds during the week. Will there be a huge surge of guests that first week? I plan on going mid week June 10 / 11 / or 12 and if it just happens to open the weekend prior will I be screwed? Going with some younger riders so we will stick to the 48 inch height rides. I was hoping Goliath would have been open a few weeks by then and now it may be right in the middle of opening week. For past ride openings does it cause huge waits for other areas of the park if you steer clear of the new ride?

Yes, there is a black canvas over the old Iron Wolf queue area. I'm at the park now so I can't post a picture directly, but there is a photo of it in my update found here:

It's a bit bland, but I guess it gets the job done.
Thanks! I actually saw that yesterday now that I think of it haha. My real question is are those pictures going to go into the frames on the station like they were supposed to in the original rendering?

A park employee who was watching Goliath told me testing will start later today or tomorrow! He was VERY confident that Goliath will open next weekend Saturday (6/7/14) to the public!

Can't wait! Whenever it does start testing, I will be the one partying with a lampshade on my head!
I have a realllllllly bad feeling that they are going to cancel the media event day all together. what a shame. you can't have a rollercoaster release like this WITHOUT a media event, it's what draws in a ton of consumers.....it'd be a extremely silly move on six flag's part to not reschedule the media event and cancel it.

Hey thanks for the shout-out! I'm hoping testing begins today or tomorrow when I'm not working. The anticipation is killing me!
It's not going to be that soon. Hold your horses. It's going to be at least a day until we see that. I've still seen some pictures of orange topper missing.

I'm just going by what a mechanic/construction worker said earlier this afternoon. What parts are still missing topper track?
I was under the impression topper track was completed on the 29th. At the very least there was no topper track left to place when I was at the park yesterday the 30th
