Thanks for the pics inside Thrillseekers. I'm glad I held off buying any Goliath merchandise at CPG since the designs in Thrillseekers are much better since it's just focused on Goliath.

No problem! I can't really take any more pictures unless you like Batman queue in semi stormy conditions. Sent from my VS840 4G using Tapatalk
I loved that shot Rob took of the entire ride from the employee lot. So - Rob, wherever you may be, I cant wit to see another whole ride shot now that the track is completed hinthint haha Your photos are always great just sayin
Well I can no longer attend media day with coasterforce sadly. It sucks everything was pushed back but lets be honest, we all knew it was gonna happen. If you've been in the park the last few days, you could tell in your gut there was no way the ride was gonna be ready. Better to delay the ride than rush it though obviously.
* * * NEW Midnight Ride and Golden Ticket Information * * *
We have received official word on the Midnight Ride / Golden Ticket Event from Six Flags Great America:
"The midnight ride event is going to be cancelled. We just can’t fit it in with this new schedule."
"Please have your members send their golden tickets to my attention to the address in my signature and I will send them (or I can put in will call) 2 “skip the line” passes for any coaster including Goliath that will be valid this season. "
I also inquired about the Midnight Ride tickets given out if you bought any of the GOLIATH items in selected stores. Those will be honored too.
If you would like the park to send you your exit passes please include a self addressed stamped envelope with your Golden Ticket(s). You may also request the park hold your exit passes at Will Call if you plan to visit the park soon. If you pick this option for Will Call, make sure you include a note with your name.
One other option, if you are attending Goliath Media Day bring your Golden ticket along and we will exchange for the exit passes there.
Please send your Golden Ticket to the following Address.
Six Flags Great America Attn: Public Relations 542 N Route 21 Gurnee, IL 60031
I got a ticket from buying a sweatshirt. Thankfully, I wanted the sweatshirt regardless of the ticket and I probably couldn't have gone to the event anyways so I'm not too upset. I'm hoping I can just take my ticket to guest relations and get the passes, cause the ticket is kinda cool and I'd like to keep it for my collection.
Also, it sucks that the park had all these cool events they wanted to do that weren't able to come to fruition. Topping off, golden bolt, and now this. It seemed like they were really getting into hyping the ride and it all kinda fell apart. Oh well, hopefully they'll have better luck with the next coaster.
I still plan to show up at 11:55pm that night and knocking on the front gate! j/k!
On a serious note, I wonder if Great America could be pursued for false advertising for not holding a midnight premiere event by those that bought a t-shirt believing that that is what they were going to get with the shirt. I know they're offering exit passes, but that's still a bit different.
Now, please everyone - put down your torches! I'm not saying people should run out and file a complaint. and nor am I saying that people shouldn't be happy to get the exit passes. I'm just simply wondering if, from a black-and-white legal point of view, if this substitution would be viewed acceptable in the eyes of the law.
Sorry for going a bit OT, but I find how the law works (and doesn't work) in this country quite fascinating, hence, the speculation.
Oh well. I would've been on my Missouri road trip(Six flags St. Louis and Silver Dollar City). I guess I'll just go with my friend who got a Platinum Flash Pass voucher for his birthday.

Are there any fine print or disclaimers on the ticket?
Has the park even posted anything about this cancellation at all? If not, I feel bad for the GP that shows up waiting for the park to open up for the event. From my understanding, there was no mentioning of this ERT being a tentative date, nor did any retail employees seem to point it out.

Fine print states: Details for the event will be posted at six flags.com. Enter via Grand Avenue for parking. Present this voucher at the Six Flags main gate for admission to this private event. Vouchers are non-transferable. No rain checks. Void if copied or duplicated.

The schedule for Goliath is very messed up. First they told the public that it will open on May 24th. Then they told the public that the ride will open on the 31st with media day on May 29th. Next they announced that the midnight madness event would be held on June 1-2 and season pass holder event on Friday May 30th. This past Saturday they announced on Facebook that this Friday (30) they were looking for people to volunteer for commercial shots. I myself and many others signed up for the event. Now all the events are CANCELED!? I'm sure SF will receive a lot of hate for false advertising all these events. Media day is now a week and a half later.
Great America is doing a very BAD advertising the events and opening date for Goliath.

Just because there are setbacks, doesn't make it false advertising. This stuff happens, it can be unpredictable. Goliath will be here for how many years? You're complaining over a week.
