Is this a new piece of track on the drop? It's hard to tell on my phone.

We are not sure what will happen. I emailed the park with questions regarding Goliath's opening. Once I get info, I will definitely let you guys know. Don't worry

This is drop track?
EDIT: Nevermind, that is just a crane. It looked like track because of the color.

I thought that it was track as well, but now I'm fairly certain that it is an orange crane.

Another piece of track going up.

Also, a little off topic and it's hard to predict but does anyone think this Wednesday will be busy at all? I want to get some final construction photos of Goliath and of course ride some stuff since the only time I've gone this year was Opening Day which was pretty busy.

^ Max of 20 minute lines during the day, probably less. Then after 4:00 is park-wide ERT when the field trips head out.

By that wording, you don't like it?
He probably meant he was wrong about being skeptical. But yes I was confused too.

Let me clarify. When I first saw the new design I was skeptical but I had hope that it would look better in real life. No I do not have any hope.

I just got back from the park, and as I was walking around the park, I saw a lot of people asking where Goliath's entrance was, and why it wasn't open for today. I guess it goes to show that there is a fine, thick line between the General Public and Coaster Enthusiasts.

Well, I'm not surprised considering on Opening Day two guys came around to County Fair from Yukon Territory to get in line for X-Flight. Overheard them discussing their confusions on why it wasn't open yet.

It seems like the other side always wins on American Eagle :?
Also, I've ridden Goliath 23 times in one day. HBU? :P

They should of looked at a park map. How could they confuse Goliath with X-Flight?
It amazes me sometimes how the GP can be so wrong about things they think they know about SFGAm.

Anyway, good to see progress being made today, hope to see more tomorrow.

I didn't get the nickname Jack "Paranoia" for nothing, so I'm kinda in panic mode. Does anyone know if the shirts sold out today? It said limited, but if they're still there in the morning I'll make the long trek from Peoria to snag one if it means I can go to the June 1st event.

I really don't think that's very likely - I was there today and it wasn't all that busy, and I didn't see a whole lot of people wearing Goliath stuff, and they probably wouldn't have bothered with making the signs and doing the whole promotion to sell them out on one not-very-busy day.

On a related note, having the event on a Sunday at midnight seems like a very strange time to open a roller coaster. I wonder if the event isn't really what it seems to be? Like, maybe they'll still do media day and then a day (or a few) for season pass holders, and then this other "exclusive" event that they're just using to sell t-shirts? Yes, I know the wording seems to imply that it's the first thing, but we all know they're willing to stretch the truth a bit on some of the claims they make.

Yes "one of the first" doesn't mean the first. I don't need to be first. I just want to get a ride in, and that night I'll actually be able to make it. I'll be super tired, and late for work the next day but whatever.

Sorry for not specifying enough. They went to Goliath thinking it was open on the first day of operation. Found it wasn't done yet, continued on to X-Flight.

I bought two t-shirts today and got my special tickets. I was hoping for a gold pass ride time. I'm starting to regret buying gold passes.
