Just to remind everyone, once the track is completed, there is lots of electrical work to be done.
Cyclone at SFNE. 54". Anyway, Goliath is 48".
Why does Cyclone require 54"? It looks like the same restraints as American Eagle and Viper in photos.

I'm curious to see if any guests will say something like "that's dumb, it's just like Viper".

Someone at my office said something to that extent when I was looking at the web cam today.

Just from the webcam picture, without knowing anything about that, I can see how you would think that. I think it will be much harder to confuse with Viper when the first drop is up and you can better see the inversions.

The Tribune was at the park yesterday and took some up-close photos of Goliath. Click below for photos.

"It's about 85 degrees which is a 3rd world record for any coaster not just a wooden coaster." Is he saying that Goliath is the steepest coaster in the world? They have a coaster steeper than that at the park in Vertical Velocity. Maybe I misunderstood what he meant but either way, those are some really cool close up photos! Can't wait to see it in person tomorrow.

He might want to get his facts straghit before saying something that isn't entirely true.
The photos and the video were pretty cool. I can't wait to see it for myself in person tomorrow.

I have to say I was very impressed getting to see it in person today... It is truly going to be one hell of an intense and quick ride that will need to be ridden many times!

Shot from game area:

Lift hill:

Tunnel (this was taken at the fence at the end Wilderness Theater which opened of 2 hours for cheer award ceremony)...
Did not trespass or anything to get this shot. just took about 20 shots blindly though/over fence and this is the only one that was remotely decent.

From the Funnel cake store (perspective of the lift hill):

Did they finish painting the stairs leading into the station black, because the queue house and exit ramp are done.

According to the certain mister in the video, Goliath is steeper than this:

Good photos Rob. I was just wondering, how much visible work did RMC get done during the opening weekend?

^Yes. They are going under the station since it's elevated enough.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

From the view that you can get now, you can't see where they will be storing the train. The fence will probably also block the view, but once you go up the stairs to the station, you should be able to see it.
