I wonder if it will make this media day. I never thought it would make the previous date, and I'm still a bit skeptical on this one. I'd give it a 50% to 60% chance. Just hope the weather cooperates.

^ Except that parks are wrong about opening dates all the time. There are so many variables that go into building and opening a ride, Goliath could have been completed months ago and still get pushed back months, *cough*DejaVu*cough*. Obviously the park and RMC are working to get Goliath open as soon as possible, but there's nothing wrong with being skeptical that a ride that isn't finished will be opening in a month.

Six Flags are the ones who picked that date, and they're also the ones who know their construction time table, and they think they can make it. I'm giving it a 99% to 100% chance that they know more about the situation than you do.

Interesting. I knew nothing about the situation, yet I didn't think they would make the first date. The park thought they would make it, but it turns out they must think they were wrong as they pushed back the date. Even if they know more about the situation, they can be wrong due to unforeseen circumstances - it happens, that's life.

When you're making an educated guess about the future, and as no one knows what the future will hold, sometimes you're right, and sometimes you're wrong. You just try to make the best guess you can at the time you're making it and let the chips fall where they may.

On another note, you should try to not be insulting and try to keep things civil as failure to do so only brings down the conversation.

You have to either be in a coaster club (ACE or Club TPR) or you are part of the media.

RMC posted on Facebook today that the Medusa trains are ready to ship. Hopefully that means the Goliath ones are as well.

The ironic thing is that I found your tone to be more insulting than the other guy's. You praised yourself for predicting the date change, then claimed you're being more civil by insulting a post that was not insulting.

Looking at the time lapse from this morning of around 10:15 and then the latest image, it appears they're working on the final support structure for the lift/drop. I could be wrong since I haven't watched closely this morning, but this is what I saw on the time lapse from today.

On the Park Map on the website next to Goliath it says the height limit is 48". I wonder if this will be the final height limit?

It should be. Outlaw Run is 48". I don't think I have ever seen a wooden coaster with a height over 48".

The rest of this lift will go in really quickly, it's all horizontal-ish beams and track from hereon in regarding that structure. Once the station is completed and the electrics are installed I think we could see testing in roughly 2-2.5 weeks.

At this rate, I think the ride should be completed by the end of next week.

I hope so. If it is done by next week, then testing can begin. The trains will have to arrive soon, for that to happen.

Camera has cleared up a bit. They've got both cranes up and it looks like 2 man-lifts in the air too.
