The old switchbacks that they removed to make way for the stage doesn't really make that much of a difference. There was only like three or four rows of them. It'll be interesting to see how they redesign the queue as they will most definitely need another queue house of switchbacks. Maybe will see something similar to Eltoro's queue design.

Doesn't El Toro's queue design utilize the length of the ride itself to shape it's queue? Or is it's design different?
The length of Eltoro's queue is narrow and stretches from around the station to the third airtime hill. I just thought of Eltoro's queue since it's long in length and narrow which in my opinion would fit best given the space SFGAm has to work with in terms of building a new queue section to accommodate the long lines that Goliath will have.

How long do you guys think the queue will take to get through as in wait time? I hope they theme the queue itself like what Silver Dollar City did with Outlaw Run to make the wait more enjoyable. But Six Flags never seems to be big on theming unfortunately

I think it's reasonable to assume that the queue design for Goliath will be long and narrow, possibly stretching all the way to the top hat element (with a few blocks of switch backs) and all the way to the dive loop as well. I think the queue will provide many photo opportunities since it could very well snake it's way under the ride, and far back and forth.

Wait time could be anywhere to three to four hours or longer. The station and the entrance sign and the area around it will be themed. I think the queue itself will also carry the Greek theme.
I expect to see marble or stone columns with hanging gardens and other various plants, maybe cyprus trees? Greek statues, gladiator themes, shields, swords. That kind of thing.
They did a good job with X-Flight's theming, so I hope to see something along those lines for Goliath.
I could see Goliath's queue extending past the original queue entrance to Iron Wolf than turning left toward the dive loop. However they would have to remove that one exit from the County fair train station to accommodate the new queue but I don't see why that wouldn't stop them. Just look at what they did to Hometown Square's train station last year.
I have checked the webcam several times today, and I noticed the extremely fast progress that RMC has made on tracking the dive loop. I saw a few pieces of track being installed there within the time frame of a few hours today. At that kind of rate, I expect the dive loop to be finished by the end of the week. The zero G stall by next week, the rest of the lift hill by the week after, and the topping of the lift by the end of the month.

I know! I thought the dive loop would take forever! But it seems with the nice weather and time ticking down, RMC has really stepped it up a notch! The lift will go in pretty quickly too, so it makes me that much more excited to see it rise.

^If they finish the entire ride by the end of the month, which I think they will, then they should be ready to start testing in May. The trains will probably also arrive within a few weeks. RMC crews are in over drive! They will easily make the May 24th deadline.

Queue line will never go back that far.....the access road is there remember just on the other side of the exit so queue area....I'm guessing....will have to go elsewhere.
Part of the IW que has been removed as we saw in the flyover video by Duane. I hope to see some columns & plants/flowers as well in the que. Anything simple is better than nothing

I would LOVE to have theming like that on the queue line. It would be beautiful.

Um, I would never expect a que line like that unless we were bought out by Busch or something lol. But a simplistic pillar placed here & there is not crazy. Now if these "pillars" do pop up, I bet you there will be a pillar with a "cell phone box" by June though SOMEWHERE in that que.
I'm not expecting an epic que but I think we will all be pleased with the simplicity they do with the que. I mean do we remember that entrance rendering?! It's gorgeous. Im at least hoping that will be put in. If its not anything at all, well then there it is, simple as that but if there's SOMETHING to it, many of us will be pleased & many will still find a thing or 90 to b!*ch about. #runonsentence
Sweet! The Goliath webcam page seems to be down for me. I keep getting this page...
EDIT: Webcam is working again!
