Those weren't wood. They're steel columns. We won't know exactly where they are until we have photos from inside the park, but they're supporting the inside of the Overbank/Twist & Shout structure.

Hopefully we get some photos this Saturday then. I wonder if the trains will arrive in the next couple weeks.

^ There should definitely be photos by Saturday afternoon. I'm still hoping the park will provide some before then though, since I know people going on the tour, so a park update the same day would be redundant
Someone is a party pooper. Does anyone know what they have been doing to the overbank turn the last few days? I keep seeing them lift up giant pieces of wood but I can't actually see where they are going.
I think they are also injecting that Bout stuff(or whatever it's called) to quiet the ride. On the March 14th Goliath Insider, Gary Pohlman said that the tracks will "later be filled" with that stuff. I'm assuming "later" is now.
Hey does anybody have any guesses when the trains are going to arrive? I think they look absolutely gorgeous and want to see the difference between the Red and Orange train.

I think we wont see the trains until the end of the month. They still have to finish tracking the entire ride and extend the station.

OK thanks. I hope they start re-theming/expanding the station. How much wider and longer do you think it will be?

It is important to note that construction progress of the ride does not dictate when the trains are shipped, only when the trains are placed on the ride.
I just got my Goliath Media Day invite at 1am. I just screamed! haha
Media Day is tentatively set for/will be hosted on May 22nd with a season pass holder preview May 23rd & a public opening on May 24th as many of us already knew. I'm very excited, who else is attending?!

1am? Are you guys gonna be riding Goliath all night long!?
Is there any way for a regular joe schmoe like myself to get an invite to Goliath's media day? I know that Cedar Fair will allow access for members of coaster clubs, does Six Flags do a similar thing, or is it more exclusive?
I would love to go for Media Day but I'm not Media and will not get invited. However, hopefully I can ditch school and go for the preview on that Friday. Never been on a Friday that wasn't CAD. Will it be crowded?
It seems like the other side always wins on American Eagle Also, I've ridden Goliath 23 times in one day. HBU? (Sorry in advance for unnecessary commas and parenthesis every where)
I cover the park out of C-net and received media invites the last couple years for various events at the park. I was also invited to the last Goliath construction tour (not the TPR one) but didn't receive an invite to the Goliath media day. Strange. Oh well, I have an exam that Thursday so I'll have to attend the season pass holder preview on the 23rd anyways. If anyone sees me, I'll probably be wearing either a Bears jersey or an Outlaw Run shirt.

Anyone who is part of a coaster club should receive an email from that coaster club regarding media day.....if your not in a coaster club than there is no way into media day unless your part of the media
I keep looking at the Top Hat and thinking that is really tall . Then I remember that the initial drop is 180 ft. That's only 28 ft shorter than RB's drop. This is defiantly going to be a kickass ride!

Goliath will sure be one hell of a great addition to our line up. I hope to see some new photos from the tour that was today.
Photo from Duane Marden of RCDB. Photo was taken earlier today during a construction tour.
