I know it's somewhat trivial, but I hope they paint the track. The orange really makes it stand out. Yes, it does not impact the ride experience, but I really like the orange.

It seems like the other side always wins on American Eagle Also, I've ridden Goliath 23 times in one day. HBU? (Sorry in advance for unnecessary commas and parenthesis every where)
I don't know. I am thinking they should paint the topper track a brown color so it blends in more with the wood structure. With red or orange, it strikes more as a steel coaster.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.
^Brown painted rails? Um, no. That's an ugly color for coaster rails. Orange or red would be better. If they were to paint the rails, then wouldn't they have already done that at the RMC plant? That picture of the track pieces shows what looks to be track for the bottom of a valley - downward curve pieces.
Is there any reason to have a different type of track in the tunnels then on the rest of the ride? Assuming that track is for the tunnels.
If they are to paint that track, then I think it would be better to paint it once it has been installed in place.
Here's the latest from this afternoon with the wooden supports going up.

So I checked out the park today. Not what that one user did, but I just went as far as the first fence before the employee parking lot. While there, I talked to a security guard, where he then let me take a few photos from the fence of the cassions, tracks, cranes, and piles of rubbish. I would NEVER do what the one user did. I specifically asked for permission. If anyone is interested in the photos, I will post them later on.

One question, Are those supports in the last photo a part of the 165ft. lift hill or another section of the ride?
It's the small airhill in the middle of the ride (right side of structure) and the climb into the final brakes (left side). This is gonna be fun watching it go together now!

So, they are building the smaller sections of Goliath before they tackle the larger and harder sections like the lift hill, the over banked turns and the inversions? Are all the RMC workers on the small sections, or is there another RMC team who will tackle the larger sections?
The hardest parts to get to are generally built first on wood coasters, it's usually some part of the middle of the ride. I would guess the same crew will build the whole ride. I'm going to guess starting from what they put up today they'll work their way through the turnaround before tackling the stuff on the other side of the road.

The stuff on the other side of the road would be the two over banked turns? Also could someone overlay the Goliath layout on a Google aerial shot of the construction area. I would like a better idea of how this coaster is being orientated in the back of the park.

By construction site do you mean the old Iron Wolf site? I hope so, because google does not update aerial views very often. So they don't have an aerial view from the site recently. The overlay that the park showed at the village meetings aren't sufficient enough for you though? That gives you a great view of how the coaster will be oriented in the site. So honestly, what do you want?
pretty sure what's up now is on the east side of the road, that all should be the banked turns and whatnot, the other side of the road, the west side, would be the lifthill and diveloop. Also in other news, havent seen this particular pic before, looks like Medusa will have an identical train, just a different front plate...

Yes I mean the old Iron Wolf site. Is there a link to the over lay the park showed to the villiage? Not the promotional image of the layout with that yellow background. A hand drawn or computer drawn blueprint of the old IW site with the station building (and direction that the trains will travel) along with the service road, train tracks, and employee parking lot.
EDIT: OK, I am starting to get an idea of the positioning of Goliath. I was looking at an aerial photo of Iron Wolf that showed the access road that leads from the employee parking lot and also crosses over the train tracks. That is the only access road that was by IW, right? IW lift hill was on the left of this road. So Goliath's lift hill will be facing north just like IW lift hill?

One other thing, is it possible we could see the lift hill built and topped off by the end of the year or at least by Christmas time? What are the chances of that happening?
is the track going to be like Texas Giant or Iron Rattler where it feels like a steel coaster? Or will it be a real wood track so it will be a rough ride? I haven't ridden American Eagle in a decade because of how rough that coaster is.. just riding Hades in Wisconsin Dells was torture.. with a fast coaster like that and how Goliath is suppose to be really fast just wondering what it might be like.
