SFGAm fans need to be happy with the roller coasters we got. I think all SFGAm fans want now is a Giga coaster or a Strata Coaster. I can tell you right now, SFGAm will NEVER get a Giga coaster because there is no room for one and I'm sure the Village board will not like that. It will be impossible to get a strata coaster because SFGAm has a 330ft height limit and strata coaster is any roller coaster over 400ft.

Hopefully it does. Hopefully it's going to be a ride that the park fans will like since they did not like X Flight. I am anxious to see the reviews from TPR, ACE, and the SFGAm fans on Goliath.

I wish SFGAm didn't have a height limit of 330ft. I feel like Raging Bull will always be the tallest roller coaster in the park.
Since TPR was mentioned, they rave about all the RMC coasters so I'm betting you'll see something similar. X-Flight is a great ride but it's not going to make a top 10 list anywhere, including mine. Everyone nowadays complains about everything so don't be so surprised by all of this. X-Flight is totally better than Gatekeeper too, at least it doesn't fizz out at the end. For those who are worried about us not getting a 300'+ coaster, bigger doesn't always mean better. How about expanding your horizons and visiting other parks that can get a 300'+ coaster? Sure if won't be in your backyard to ride a billion times but it's still within reach.
I can't wait till the ride starts going vertical. I can't wait till Goliath is officially done so myself and others can finally ride it after a long winter of anticipation.
People always say "We want a 300ft+ Coaster"..... Bigger does NOT mean better. Take Maverick for example, one of my favorite coasters ever, tons of airtime and speed, and it's barely over 100ft.

The short answer is simply physics. It helps the train run better by controlling variable forces and keeps the whole thing stable as it's flying down the track into the various elements.
A pretty good explanation was already posted:
FParker185 wrote:Yeah, that's just the 0 car. It's articulated only in one, sometimes 2 directions, there is always articulation on the Z axis so it can roll, some are set up to flex side to side to take flat turns, but it can never flex up and down in order to keep the rest of the cars in the train from falling forwards and kinda stumbling.
All trailered trains have one, though occasionally it's built into the front car(Arrow/Vekoma/PTC), and on B&M inverts and floorless (except for Aplengeist) they feature a row of seats on it.
If you can wrap your head around that, here's a good pic showing the lack of the one articulation, notice the gap between the 1'st and 2'nd row, then all the rest of the rows of the train, remember, inverts have seats on the 0 car (front car)
Ok, from what I gather, the zero car and rest of the cars are analogous to a semi-trailer truck. The zero car serves the same function as the tractor, and the cars 1 thru n are the trailers. Now, on the wood PTC trains, there is no trailer, only individual cars, each one supported by more than one axle, so the zero car concept is not necessary.
except of course on PTC trailered trains, in which case the front car was just a normal car and the rest were the terribly designed trailered cars.
Basically the only function of the 0 car is to keep the rest of the cars from swinging around and bashing into each other, or the track, or anything else since each car swings back and forth freely from the wheel bogies, the more solid connection between the 0 and 1 car that creates what amounts to a single car with 4 wheelsets.

I hate to say it, but I'm pretty sure it won't be red. Even though they advertised it having red/orange track, I doubt it will. With X-Flight they showed some very cool things in the animation that the park didn't actually build. Hopefully, that may just be the track for the tunnel, and thats why it's not red, but i doubt it. So again, as much as i would love to see the track be red/orange, i doubt it will be.

In all of the animations, the topper track is orange. The track that is pictured (from what I can tell) isn't apart of an inversion. Who says they won't just paint once it's assembled?
It seems like the other side always wins on American Eagle Also, I've ridden Goliath 23 times in one day. HBU? (Sorry in advance for unnecessary commas and parenthesis every where)
They can simply paint the track on site. It looks like it needs to be done anyway regardless of the color, it's not going to stay the way it looks now.
I know this probably wouldnt matter, But I looked up the animation for Outlaw run, and the animation has the same color track as what it has now. So it is a possibility that they could paint the track. Happy Thanksgiving by the way.

When you get to the top, and you hear that click, you better hang on, because your coming down quick!
