I also think that they would have to completely change the layout of a different coaster because of the road being there and Eagle was grandfathered in.

Name a better racing wooden coaster than American Eagle. It is the: Fastest racing wooden roller coaster Longest racing wooden roller coaster Tallest racing wooden roller coaster With the largest drop on a racing wooden roller coaster

While I agree that there are better dueling wooden roller coasters out there, like Joris en de Draak, Dauling Dragons, and Lightning Racer, those are coasters with two different track layouts intertwined. While Eagle's second half is much like this, its identical first half classifies it as a racing coaster, akin to Gemini or Colossus (SFMM), which feature identical or nearly identical track layouts throughout.
It's up to you how to interpret it, that's the arbitrary nature of the industry. (Much like the debate over whether or not alpine coasters count as credits, which they should.) However minuscule the point, that's the definition of racing vs. dueling.

Buccaneer Battle. Waste of space, Waste of money, not worth paying employees to stand there all day servicing a ride that is by far the least popular in the park. Send it to Six Flags America, lol.

I think East River Crawler could be another ride to go because of problems. I wouldn't have a fit if any of these rides went for something great, but Six Flags is so obsessed with Sky Screamers which to me are nothing that great, so than I rather those rides stay and get fixed.
Just because they're having short-term problems that doesn't mean they're going to leave....You don't remove a expensive ride in RCT after one break down do you? No, You wait until it's reliability gets really low. I think Demon is next....It's clock is ticking. I worked at Demon for a few seasons, I know things about that ride most others do not. None of it, I can share.

Of all the coasters in the park, The only I can see maybe being removed is V2. I can't think of any other coaster in the park (Besides Eagle) that is rough AND doesn't have long lines. Say what you will about Demon but that still has a line.
Demon most days has one of the shortest lines of the large coasters. American Eagle is a great coaster. V2 is a great coaster. It has the highest acceleration in the park. Besides what else are you going to put in that spot?
V2 well be at the park for a while. The water rides loggers run yankee clipper buccanner battle might in the future probly sent to a warmer climate parks mexico or texas. Not a ride but Pictorium for possiblle park expansion in the future.
Logger's Run and Yankee Clipper would never be relocated due to age and the fact that that type of flume hasn't been in production for so long. Buccaneer Battle is impossible to relocate. It's all concrete. You can NOT move concrete.
I know whizzer isn't leaving the park but I just wanted to ask is it that popular and low maintenance to keep it? I have to admit out of all the coasters at the park that's the one I personally don't get on.. Yet just wondering others opinion

I don't have numbers or anything, but I can tell you that the Whizzer is very popular with families. It (and maybe the Little Dipper) are pretty much the only coasters that thrill-loving (but not super tall) kids can go on. My family would be very upset if it was gone.

I guess your right you do need family rides like that everything can't be for thrill seekers

What I meant was a coaster that is Rough and/or doesn't have long lines. Demon still draws a crowd. V2 also costs alot to keep/maintain which is party what hurt Deja Vu.
It is truly a hard question to answer now that I am thinking about it. We are pretty heavily landlocked. there are things that could or should be taken out because of age, but if they weren't there Great America wouldn't be Great America. Case in Point Demon. You have walkway and midway games to on the west and to the east you have Train tracks X Flight and more walk ways. It would be a hard location to try and cram something in. The pictorium is outdated, but when it is extremely hot and water ride lines are full at least you have the air conditioning and heat come FF. Sad to say but the Pictorium would probably become HH space (BOO) STT would probably follow suit. If they did this maybe they could turn the area into HH's enterance and free up some space in SWT. But I sincerely hope that they don't as STT is one of my favs.
I really put my votes into a few places 1 Go Karts, turned a peaceful area into a gasoline smelling noise polluted slab of concrete. Dare Devil Dive is just that a dive I dont know why they think people who just ponyed up for 90 bucks (if single and driving) to get enterance to the park are going to pay like 25 more before food or anything just to fly through the sky. And King Chaos this ride is just blah. It is always the same thing take you up, take you back and up then flip 4X, lock, face water swing back. Jazz it up man keep people guessing keep changing the cycle make it random. Then people would be drawn to it more. And Revy it is good when you are the only one on it you fly sky high but it is much less fun when its a full load you don't go nearly as high and the 3 click thing is a killer for even thin people I have seen some people who were thin as rails not get 3 clicks. I will say I am also for getting a ride or 2 under the tent by Eagle and getting rid of lets call it what it is Wiggles World (like the Sears Tower name change means nothing).

Because people do? If DDD wasn't making money I doubt it would still be in the park.

They still wouldn't move the entrance. It's a business strategy where children will see all the games and such and beg their parents if they can play later. Therefore, money is attracted to the games department.

Why not just build games near Sky Trek Tower/ Pictorium and Relocate the Entrance? People will still pass there for Bull/Viper
^ My guess: 1) why bother? Too much effort. 2) By not messing with the entrance/pool/carrousel area, you preserve the integrity of the area's open, welcoming, very clean atmosphere. Sticking in a bunch of noisy games with plush toys everywhere would just be out of place.
3) The best place for the waterpark entrance would really be the very farthest place from the main entrance. It's not JUST about the games, but it's about exposing your guests to the whole drypark experience before they make it to the waterpark: games, rides, food, extra-charge rides, misc. activities and other shops.
