Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

^ Pretty sure S&S doesn't build those anymore, and even if they did I'd put the chance at us getting one at one in a million seeing as they only ever built two with the last one opening 8 years ago.

No but they just removed the one at Six Flags New England. It was fun, but I'd rather take a coaster or Sky Screamer personally.

Saw this on Facebook.

On my X Flight page a fan messaged me this after reading it let me know what you guys think. "I am at six flags today and I just walked past the iron wolf. And there are green shirts with orange vests and people on the station as well as the ground painting lines. It's gotta be a coaster."

"My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw them painting lines in the shape of a roller coaster at 31 Flavors last night. I guess it's pretty serious."

If I see another report of this, or photographic evidence, I'll take it more seriously.

^^I believe that person, but I'm more on the side that, that area looks like garbage. Trees are falling all over the place (One is half on it's side, and I'm wondering when in the world are they going to start removing it), and it's not being kept up. How do we know if they aren't just removing trees so they can have that haunt when you get off the train again in October?

On the other hand, if I want to believe that they are really going to put something in there, screamscape is saying the rumor is 160 ft going in Iron Wolf area. Recently, a coaster was just put in another park that was 160 ft. That's Full Throttle! That coaster also with the one at Discovery Kingdom were really pretty cheap (as compared to $20 or $25 million), all things considering - only $6 million. Maybe, it's a stretch, but how about 2 things next year? Skyscreamer in Ragin Cajun's spot, and something Premier in Iron Wolf's spot? I'm guessing a Skyscreamer costs about $3 or $4 million, and than a Premier coaster is about $6 million. So, that's $10 million.

Good point on the haunt thing.

Let's talk a bit about Full Throttle, though: OK, I like the ideas being kicked around about something Full Throttle-esque. It does look fun. However, something to remember: Full Throttle was really designed to be shoehorned into the area available at Magic Mountain.

Now, I know what you're all going to say: So was Batman once upon a time, but now every park and a few people's backyards have a clone. True, but Batman didn't involve hills, a pre-existing tunnel and a nifty drop over an elevated queue line for another coaster (Superman: Escape from Krypton). You just need a long, skinny, somewhat flat stretch of land for a Batman; whether or not it's Tidal Wave shaped or not is immaterial. Full Throttle takes a little more effort because of the elevation changes.

Could you do something like Full Throttle here? Sure. Launched? Yup. The big honkin' loop that you go inside and outside of? Certainly. But could/would you do the exact same thing? It'd be kinda hard to do, if you ask me. I mean, Full Throttle was built on/into the side of a mountain, while they don't call you folks who are in Bears fan territory Flatlanders for no good reason (and it applies to the park as well, which is pretty flat on the whole). Unless they plan on building a freakin' mountain — and don't get me wrong, yes, there was a mountainous theme being used in the video, but that's a pretty massive task and one I'm not convinced could be completed by 2014 (they were working on that plot of land in California for a LONG time) — I'm afraid anything Full Throttle-like that we'd get would be a little watered down from what California has.

I wouldn't be disappointed at all if we got something like this. But, not going to lie: I'd rather have a kickin' GCI ride than a Premier that is kind of a one-trick pony. Heck, if we wanted a giant loop, I'd say just ask for Tidal Wave back.

^I don't think that every CGI ride is that great. SFStL is awesome in my opinion, but the one at Magic Mountain (Apocalypse) I didn't think it was that great (I was really disappointed in it after being on SFStL), and Busch Gardens Gwazi isn't good at all in my opinion.

The 3 Premier coasters I've been on, I have loved - Those are Mr. Freeze, Jokers Jinx / Flight of Fear, and Stunt Coaster.

We liked Apocalypse enough to seek out a second ride. The station flythrough is cool. (For those unaware, Apocalypse at Magic Mountain takes you back through the station on a second track, elevated above where you board.) Liked American Thunder, too. Never been on Gwazi.

To each his/her own, I guess.

It's called an opinion. We all have one. Here's mine, Stunt Coaster is terrible. It was good on Italian Job media day and thats it. in my opinion.

I just watched a POV from Stunt Coaster. While I'm not going to call it "terrible," it seemed like an update of the mine train concept -- slower, smaller, good for kids & families but, on the whole, pretty lame if you're over the age of 10. Maybe you add some sort of pre- or post-ride show. You certainly wouldn't need a height variance for that.

On the one hand, there's a part of me that says something like this would be a cheaper way of doing a "dark ride" concept that might work around needing to construct a building. It is "launched," though not launched like, say, Mr. Freeze, which gives you a heck of a forceful push on your way out. More like "sent off somewhat quickly" than truly launched. Maybe you add an interactive component of some sort. La-tee-da.

On the other, part of me would be disappointed if we got something like this. I think Spacely's accomplishes this feat in our park, even though it doesn't have the value-add of allowing parents to ride with kids (at least I don't think it does, as I've never actually been in Camp Cartoon), which I think might be nice for the more-hesitant and smaller kids out there. Even if they added that ability, though, the mine rides in St. Louis and SoCal are A) So old and B) So lame that no one rides them. The old part wouldn't be a problem, but it would be hard to work around the lame part.

But, again, I always look for a way to spin things more positively. Let's say they took out Spacely's and used the space behind it (that was once part of Wolf's realm) for something like this. It could still kind of fit the Camp Cartoon theme and also be themed kind of mountainy/northwest-ly/oh, I don't know, Yukon Territorially. Hmm ...

Another thing I'm wondering: Any thought that the removal of the covering crossing between themed areas might have anything to do with this?

Adults can ride Spacelys.

They removed the cover for the bridge from Yukon to County Fair?

I just "hope" that whatever coaster we get doesn't have the embarrassingly low capacity of recent Premier Rides Six Flags attractions and has 4 digits hourly capacity.

I personally dont see a coaster going there just yet. That would be two coasters in 3 years, but you never know. I also want to see some pics to prove it though. I think it's for the haunt that goes there.

I'm just gonna assume that you meant to say 3 digit hourly capacity because I don't know of any coaster that can handle 10,000 people per hour.

10,000 is 5 digits. You can get 4 digit capacity from Bull, Demon, Viper, and Batman for sure. Having never worked superman or xflight I dont know what kind of capacity they can achieve but I would guess with a fast crew you could get 4 digit hourly capacity at both of those as well.

They took the cover off one of the covered passages in the park because it was discussed in the updates thread. Don't remember which one and I really gotta get back to the park sometime soon because I didn't get the chance in July. Working for a baseball team kills your free time.

They removed the Hometown Square-County Fair "covering".

So can anyone validate the statement about the activity around Iron Wolf? I am quite curious about this.

They'll probably do one a week like last year until the announcement day.

When I said 4 digits, I've read that recent Premier Rides coasters (Superman, Full Throttle) carry between 150 and 500 riders per hour. I'm hoping that we get a coaster between 1000 and 1800. My Wish is 1400.

Sorry guys, haven't really been on lately. However, about the people looking on top of the Iron Wolf station, I highly doubt if it were true that it would be about the Fright Fest train. The only reason I say this is because they kept the mulch path from last year when they did it. So what exactly else would they have to spray paint lines for? If any of you would like pictures to confirm that, I will do so.

Moving on to the "Follow the Journey" video, I think everyone is looking at the background a little to hard. I can see the shapes that you all mentioned. However it may look like it, there is still a little bit more shape stuff everywhere else at the video. Also if there were to be a picture under the chipping rock or whatever it is, don't you think when the letters were being dropped that it would show a bit of the picture? Just my 2 cents about that. The concept behind the follow the journey thing is kinda misleading to me. It has so many possibilities. It seems like they would have said that when they released Screams and dreams or something that has to do with park history.

Speaking of what screamscape has to say, I do think that doing half the American Eagle is highly unlikely, I do think that the 4D theater thing may be something that is possible. I mean after all, they did paint the pictorium this year...The Zoning hearing though is interesting. Just out of curiosity, How or what exactly states that the height they are going for is 160 ft tall? And if it were to be a sky screamer, I think that Six Flags might want to go 200-250 ft since the height limit is 330-ish.
When you get to the top, and you hear that click, you better hang on, because your coming down quick!

Actually, there is no credible source on that 160 foot tall ride....Not even screamscape came up with that one.
