I think if it was a ride they would've somehow hinted towards it. People are going to get their hopes up for a let down. One of these years we'll all be in for a shocker though.
I believe it is a new Dark ride as well. I suspect it may be replacing the Dark knight coaster. They did several surveys about dark rides. So there is a interest to add one.
Maybe it could be a coaster based on mining....if you think about it, the texture of the background kind of resembles something you may see in a mine. It might be similar to GS at CGA
Consecutive Trips Riding X Flight: 92 SFGAm Lifetime Trips: 104
Someone on youtube said to look at the screen at 10 seconds, but they said to look at the right hand corner. I didn't see it at first. What I clearly seen is the left side of the screen which looks to me like a mushroom which indicates Skyscreamer all the way. Part of the tower, and rounded globe on top. Than, I went back to the right hand corner as the person said, and it looks like the Skyscreamer seats, and the thing that is essentially the carriage of the ride. There is no doubt in my mind that this is a Skyscreamer announcement.
After looking at the video again, it's really throughout the video those 2 pictures are in it.
"I've been staring at the world, waiting. All the trouble and all the pain we're facing. Too much light to be livin' in the dark. Why waste time? We only got one life. Together we can be the CHANGE. So go and let your heart burn bright"
^ I kinda see the shape on the left, not so much on the right. It is possible they could have thrown something in there to throw us off. I'm still a little reluctant on it being a Sky Screamer because of the "Follow the Journey" tagline. That makes it sound more like a dark ride or themed roller coaster to me and not just a Sky Screamer. (Although, I suppose it could be a heavily themed Sky Screamer with some sort of storyline.) I imagine they'll do a teaser once a week like last year until the announcement day, August 29.

Could I get some of whatever you are on?

Sorry, Dark Knight is sticking around for a few more years. I could see Cajun being moved, but Dark Knight stays.
If it is a sky screamer im definitely not waiting.....it cant be a thrill at our park because of the height limit.....think back to last year....look what they fooled us on with the video about them pointing towards eagle last year making everyone think that its a eagle refurbishment or a new ride....i want to see more clues to confirm it is a sky screamer because just 1 video dont cut it!
^^Don't come on her insulting me. If you can't see nothing in that video, you can't see it. That's not my problem. I'm not the only one that sees that their is at least one image in the video. Nick42085 has also seen an image in the upper right corner. I also see the image on the left. ----
Separate from that, I see "Follow the Journey" as meaning go visit us on facebook, and see what we post every week including other hints about this announcement. It's also in big letters to make sure people's attention is in the middle of the video, and not where the images are.

Agree with the gentleman above who said we're looking at this WAY too hard if we're looking for shapes in what was likely a stock footage pattern from someplace.
I look more at the message: "Follow the Journey." A SkyScreamer doesn't seem like much of a "journey" compared to the one you go on with other rides, unless they consider it to be a "journey to the skies" (but the rocky theme doesn't really speak to that).
Random thoughts:
The rock-like pattern suggests a few possibilities: Something in Southwest Territory? Maybe a refurb of Roaring Rapids?
"Journey" would work for some sort of adventure-themed dark ride or 3D or 4D-type experience, and, well, let's just say it seems some of us have been receiving surveys. (You know, I once got a survey about something else that said, "We'd rather you not talk about this online in social media forums or on message boards" ... some of you don't follow directions very well.)
It would also work for a coaster, yes, and an adventure-esque coaster would be cool -- but, again, I don't see something with that sort of theme necessarily fitting well in the areas we've discussed as possible, namely Wolf's former home. Not that mismatched theming hasn't happened before, but still.
You know, there have been advances in drop towers, too. Maybe some sort of refurb/upgrade to Drop? Heck, here's a crazy thought: Could you yank River Rocker, Drop and maybe the restroom by Ricochet and run something launched, like maybe a mini version of Escape from Krypton/Lex Luthor: Drop of Doom at Magic Mountain? Seems like it would be a squish, but it would fit the theme (or maybe you could somehow intertwine it with Bull ... seems complicated, though).
Could be something for the waterpark -- maybe like an extreme rafting type experience [shrug]
Eh, all just guesses right now. As someone who dabbles in marketing stuff, it's fun to watch the drama and the reveal. These folks Six Flags hires are good.
I'm not sure how to do the quote thing but that was me who talked about the 10 second mark. I noticed in the top right hand corner the image (which turns out to be skyscreamer carriage) I did not notice the mushroom looking thingy on the left which is also skyscreamer parts this is skyscreamer for SFGAm

"I'm Nick and I haven't rode a coaster since June 10th 2014"
Sorry for mass posting, but as I'm looking at the screenshot showing the mushroom top of the skyscreamer, directly below the image on the left hand side I see what looks like a demon. Maybe a skyscreemer and demon revamp?

You Think?? Lol
This reminds me of those ink blot tests where you tell someone what you see. I'm sure if I stare at that stuff long enough ill see something else too. I honestly think that's just a background shadow/texture. If it ends up a skyscreamer somehow ok but if this tiny video has you completely sure that's the ride it sounds pretty crazy to me.
An Interactive Dark Ride by Mack Rides themed to Wile E. Coyote.
Follow The Journey:
Follow... Keep Up with the Joneses (Cedar Point is rumored to add a Dark Ride for 2014) Journey... Journey 2 The Mysterious Island/ Journey into Imagination (Dark Ride)
Mack Rides... Six Flags is "rumored" to add several Twist N' Splash's which are designed by Mack Rides Wile E. Coyote... The Only theme "I" would pick for an Interactive Dark Ride
Didn't he park go before the village board at the end of July to get a height variance for Chang? I'm thinking if this was going to be a sky screamer they would have asked for a height variance already and gotten the ball rolling with that since there are 2 meetings usually before they get final approval. Maybe I'm wrong though
^ The meetings for Chang were May 26th, 2010 for the Zoning Board and June 21st, 2010 for the Village Board (which was cancelled before it ever happened). Though in the past, SFGAm has gone before the Zoning Board as late as September or October.
The Zoning meeting for Giant Drop was August 28th, 1996, and Deja Vu's was September 27th, 2000.
In other words, they just need to get approval before the announcement is made if whatever they are adding is over 125'. There really hasn't been any consistency to it. It's not like they won't get approval because they always do but they still have to go get it.

A dark ride seems very possible, I like the Wile E. Coyote idea, and I don't think that should be considered out of the realm of possibility, given the rocky, desert-like theme.
Your "Follow" logic, however, is faulty. It's a Marketing 101 no-no to state you're "following the lead" of your competition. When you're marketing, you usually try to avoid even acknowledging the competition exists, or if you do, you definitely position yourself as better than, or the leader of, them rather than the other way around.
