boo hoo is right i should go slap the president wtf was he thinking a 68 foot frisbee.Bahh ill still ride it but it wont be as much fun now. Man thats bites the big one. I was so exited to ride like 132 frisbee now my dreams/hopes anve been cut in 2.sigh i hope the mosue talks guest away from my precious deja vu and batman and v2.
Well there are only 3 Versions of the Frisbee that Huss Produces (other manufactures make different kinds/height but we wont focus on those)
There is Classic Frisbee that is what we are getting, the height of the gondola in full swing is 19 Meters(63 feet), swings up to 90 degrees and has electric mechanical drive using drive cranks powered by Direct Current motors that drive tires that through friction transfer the motion to the gondola (like any other rocking ship).
Then there is Frisbee 30, which the supporting frame is the exact same height, but has outward facing suspended seats(30 of them hence the name) and can swing up to 130 degrees(highest I've heard of from any manufacturer though supposedly the new Moser Sidewinder going in at Adventureland in Iowa can match it), powered by DC motors connected through a gearbox at the top of the ride at the apex. It was introduced at IAAPA and so far I dont think any have been built quite yet.
Then finally there is Giant Frisbee like PKI's Delerium and new this year SledgeHammer at Bobbejaanland that has a structure height of 85 feet, Pendulum length of 82 feet, has a gondola with 50 suspended outward facing seats and swing up to 120 degrees and for those who dont want to do the math it swings up to 137 feet. And that one show a while back on Discovery explained the drive system sufficently, all I know off the top of my head (and the Huss brochure in front of me) is that the pendulum Drive draws 300kW and gondola drive draws 10kW (had it figured for more than that).
Not sure which one some people were expecting*, but those were the only 3 choices and the park doesnt have much say in it as for custom models. As long as Revolution doesnt run like it did at SFGAdv (due to NJ laws of some type from that Senator Markey character it was significantly toned down), so long as it doesnt run the same we should all be pretty happy riders come May 3rd
*Until I found out what we were getting around late November-early Dec I was pretty much expecting either a Huss Frisbee 30 or a Chance/Morgan manufactured KMG Revolution 32.

I just dont understand why Great Adventure just keeps on giving their cooler flat rides to other parks. Last year SF St. Louis got Xcalibur; and this year their giving away their frisbee?
My mind was elsewhere (possibly stuck in 2003) but yeah, May 1 is opening day
The Giant Evolution left SFGAdv due to technical problems that the park supposedly didnt have the budget to repair, also had some foundation issues supposedly. (lame reasons if you ask me, however having the ride closer to here is a pretty big bonus, loved it at SFStL last year despite the gondola rotation at approx half speed)
The official reason given for Pendulum coming to SFGAm is that it was in a fairly dead area of the park, and had low ridership due to that. (Yet again a lame reason, but we get a ride out of it so I think I could accept that also)
Personally I think SFGAdv just doesnt want to spend money for the staffing for all those flats, as they also removed an Inverter(good riddens, what an awful ride) and I think one or 2 other flats besides these 2 high profile rides moved to other SF properties.
