Who cares about a ride for 2014? Let's talk about the 2014 bottle color!!

If I am not mistaken I believe Busch Gardens has the rights to all Dive Machines in the US, thus preventing Cedar Fair or Six Flags from building a Dive Machine in one of their parks. I think a SkyScreamer will be the next ride at the park, where Iron Wolf was. What's the city ordinance height limit for the park?

Just took an online survey for Six Flags. Asked if I had been to Universal and Disney parks and what I thought of their dark rides. (Everything from Spaceship Earth and Haunted Mansion, to Harry Potter and Men in Black was mentioned) the focus of the survey was heavy on themes and special effects.
Obviously things can change in an instant, but it was a great time, and hopefully a sign of things to come.
^I'd love for SF Great America to get it's own version of a Monster Mansion style dark ride from SFOG. Not enough great things can be said about that dark ride and the amazing refurb it got a few years ago.

Monster Mansion was pretty cool. But I think taking that and making it interactive would be a better idea personally.
I think a well themed dark ride at the park would be amazing, but it's quite a gamble seeing that the water jets/mist on X-Flight weren't even working at the end of the season. I have a hard time believing that a heavily themed Six Flags themed ride with more than just water jets/mist would be running to it's full potential all season+future seasons.
Based on the other parks in the cahin I wouldn't be surprised if we got our very own sky screamer next year, and then in 2015 I would hope they fill wolfs spot, but that would be hoping for two new big rides within a 4 year time frame.

totally agree with you on that one! i mean they are not good at keeping up on maintenance on stuff like that. I give it a few years and the mist/waterjets will not be working at all!
^Again, it was COLD. The effects are part of the ride's computer, they can only be turned on/off in the morning when Maintenance is doing their usual business. If they wanted to turn them on mid-day, they would need Maintenance there to restart them...This can cause a downtime and make your wait in line longer. You might not mind that, but the GP certainly would.

I wasn't talking about the COLD days, more like mid-season when the algae was starting to grow on the water jets causing them to go up like a garden hose instead of a fire house.
