^ I agree with you. I feel like Great America would have had the ride approved by the zoning board first before they announced the ride to the public but I guess who really knows.
In the past, they have gone to the zoning board after the announcement, because they know they will get approval, but i can Imagine a SKY SCREAMER is not just like a Rollercoaster, Its a SKINNY Tower.
Skinny Towers going into the sky can easily be missed by planes, even if its no higher then the FAA's 300+ Mark.... Just a thought

if you look at the computer leak with the folder it says effects on the word document. that being said i say a dark ride or a new show. maybe the rumor about the dark knight/dark knight rises revamp is true
Are you sure it says Effects? I don't know about you, but all i see is FFECTS, could be effects, as in Special effects, maybe Dark Night Remodel... Or... AFFECTS... As in Something that will AFFECT Everyone...

Actually they haven't ever announced a ride without approval. The zoning meeting for Giant Drop was on August 28th, 1996, Raging Bull on February 25th, 1998, Vertical Velocity on May 24th, 2000, and Deja Vu on September 27th, 2000. Those were all back when SFGAm wouldn't announce rides until February or March.
With the Chang debacblee, that could have changed now. A SkyScreamer is something that they can change the height of if the Zoning Board doesn't approve which I doubt they wouldn't!!
Anways, my guess is a SkyScreamer. The point to the Sky Trek Tower in the video could be a clue that we are getting another tower ride. The latest picture definitely looks more like a SkyScreamer. In regards to the folder, it could say special effects which could be possible for a SkyScreamer! We are just a short time away, but my hope has been restored in a Skyscreamer! Only time will tell!!!!
^ Chang has no effect on this, AT ALL. And yes they could easily change the height of a SkyScreamer, but really who the hell wants a 125 ft SkyScreamer.
My point is that Great America would likely get approval anyways so it wouldn't be that big of a deal if they announced the ride before the aprroval! And yes, after Chang blew up in everyone's face because it was leaked early, Great America might not want to experience that debacle again and thus wait til later to go to the zoning board! The picture looks like a swinging ride of some sort!!!!
The latest printer pictures shows what appears to be the top of a swing ride (like Whirlygig) with the blue part being the tower. I am not saying that I am right, but that's it looks like the most to me!!
All I know is that what we are adding is something that park needs and does appear to be a ride!!! If the Park's President statement about catering to the thrill seekers is true, then a SkyScreamer backs it up!!
I am not saying I am right, I am just stating my opinion and it appears others including my roommate think it's a Skycreamer as well.
At least I am not going some bogus predictions like they're taking down Eagle, or the Aunt Martha lady told me this...Face the facts. We are not adding a coaster!!! Six Flags is NOT Cedar Point. They don't spend ridiculous amounts of money just to add more and more coasters!!!!!! Park employees are not allowed to tell guests what's being added anyways so if there is anyone you would trust, it would be someone from the rides department as they would know the most!
Yes and that kind of tower like structure also looks like a Power Tower, Or a the launch Track to Superman The Escape... So? In the end we are trying to say... Yes, they could go to the zoning bored after the announcement and extend the Sky Screamer.... If they are denied? Does Six Flags Really Want a 125 FT tall Screamer? This New CEO isn't Stupid
Except people like AUNT MARTHA ladies dont get this info!! My Ex-Co Worker is a tech guy behind the scenes, my other guy is Back Stage Show Crew... They Don't know anything! I also have a friend who works inside at Employee Processing... He knows NOTHING at all, and he is my Best Friend...
So No, i don't believe ANYTHING a Park Employee told anyone.
No, I was just talking to an employee going to get trained (I think at BTR? I forgot.) while waiting for my friend's daughter to get off of Sprocket Rockets.
Yeah, I'm really sorry, but a SkyScreamer is not a thrill ride! It's a glorified Whirligig.....YAWN!!!!! Have fun waiting in long lines for a broken down swing. All of you that mentioned the long que lines and minimal ride capacity for the ZacSpin, a SkyScreamer is on par with that.
On a side note, does anyone actually go to the park for the shows? I should re-phrase that question. Does anyone care to take in any shows while at the park? BORING.
I know not to get my hopes up for tomorrow, I'm confident in disappointment. That being said, I'm so hoping for Great America to surprise me tomorrow.
I said Saw! The Ride on the page, kinda half jokingly lol. But in the image it does kinda look like the Jigsaw Puppet. We did have the Saw! Haunted House a few years back...Things to ponder...

That was just a haunted house, not a ride which there already is at Thorpe Park. They own the rights to that I'm sure.
in the jacked up pictures you can see the steel structure in the yellow and red.... compare that to other sky screamers and its dead nuts on. I personally dont care for the "swings". we do need a flat ride though. Hopefully they do not sue iron wolfs area and save that for a new coaster sometime in the near future i hope.
face it folks.... were getting a screamer. (hope im wrong but i dont think i am)
what i was wrong about was getting a green lantern themed zac spin.
Actually, in Copyright language, the Franchise owns the copyright, and can sell it to anyone they want. If Six Flags were to want another Saw! themed ride they could. Maybe not the exact same model, but it could happen.
