If its a Starflyer clone its still a good addittion but giant drop should go if they add one the park dont need two tall chunk of metal in the skyline one that nobody even rides or one tall whirligig that during a windstorm will be closed all day but with the money theyre spending on a starflyer clone they could easily buy a less expensive medium thrill coaster.
Not trying to bust your bubble but there is always at least a 15-20 minute wait for Giant Drop on weekends. And then you say we don't nee 2 big chunks of metal in the sky, even though there is GD and STT.

This post makes my head hurt.
Hunks of metal in the sky an issue?! might as well take down bull or v2 with x flight we cant have too many...
Giant Drop gets approximately 250K riders per year so to say nobody rides it is incorrect.
Also I dont know what coaster you think will match the cost of a starflier... especially in the long run.
As for the windstorms, X-flight closes for wind... should we not have gotten that?

^In 2009, it was just under 600,000. Granted that was a long season, and before new policies slowed stuff down more. If I had to guess though, it should still get around 450,000 to 500,000 a year.

I would stop visiting the park entirely if Giant Drop were to be removed, of this I can assure you.
Is it safe to Assume what ever is coming, is not Taller then Sky Trek Tower? Reviewing ALL Meetings in Gurnee this year, they have not Asked for Village or Public Approval yet, and if they are gonna be announcing it on August 30th, we would assume they didn't need approval and are not planning on asking?? Right?
SFGAm generally goes before the zoning board in Sept or Oct, I'd guess it'd be the same even if they announce early, the park knows they'll more than likely be able to get approval for whatever they want as long as it's under the FAA mandated 365 foot limit which is the same as the top of Sky Trek's flagpole. Under 125 and they don't need a variance, just a general construction permit.

I was bitter about a skyscreamer cause I didnt want another attraction with the same name as all the others but SF may surprise me AND When it really comes down to it, its just that, I was being bitter....a skyscreamer would look great in our skyline & be a great addition to our lineup of rides. Im anxious
I would think they still have Green Lantern merchandise from last year, and probably just decided to keep it at the park - We were really supposed to get Chang which was probably going to be themed to Green Lantern.

Holy run-on sentence, Batman. Only 2 periods in that entire paragraph!!
Anyway, We all have our opinions. Please think before posting stuff like "Superman's gonna go" and "Eagle's gonna burn" blah blah blah. S:UF has probably the longest line in the park at any given day...and people are willing to wait for it!!! Think about rides we had removed in the last decade, with the exception of Vu. Names that come to my mind are Wolf, Splashwater Falls, and Shockwave. Each and every one was practically a walk-on up until last rides were announced. S:UF ain't goin' anywhere anytime soon.
As for Eagle...Its the one ride the park has that holds a LEGIT record and not some "cleanest theme-park in the world" nonsense that I can think of. Hell, I wouldn't mind seeing the announcement being that they're shortening the queue somehow
I can absolutely see the crate signifying "package". Like "Flat package" in addition to "LED Lighting Package" as has been mentioned on other topics. LOVE to see an S&S Screamin' Swing, but I'm not exactly sure on other smaller flats that would be added or where they could possibly go. Just thought I'd add some spice to the sauce.
I'll be spending the day of the announcement hopefully a few bucks richer in Vegas

I think that makes sense It means Six Flags Great America would be taking down American Eagle before school starts
I've heard the boy shares the information from Six Flags Great America.
Six Flags Great America would...
- Put SkyScreamer and Flashback from Six Flags Over Texas.
- Change a new name for the Dark Knight is the Dark Knight Rises and remodel it.
I cannot believe that's what the boy said about new for 2013. His father was in the meeting of Six Flags Great America discussion. He told him about this.
Wow, American Eagle would be gone I have a few chances to get my last rides on it

American Eagle is not going anywhere. The park is only trying to get people in the gates as traditionally this is the most dead time of year.
-Remember there's nothing but air beneath the chair.
American Eagle isn't going anywhere, and it won't until ridership is awful and they have something to put in its place that is more iconic.
And guess what - SFGAm just received the biggest major capex since 2005, there won't be another for a few years.
My guess - some type of flat ride for 2013. Maybe a skyscreamer, maybe a screamin swing, who knows. It will likely come with other park improvements as well such as a new show or a few revamped buildings.

On the Facebook March Madness poll, American Eagle was the second favorite in the park. It won against Batman, and Superman. I doubt that they will take it out anytime soon. If they do though, they would have MANY upset customers, and that never goes over well. I predict something like the Whizzer protests could happen.
In regards to getting Flashback, I think that this would not make sense. I mean, it will be a lower budget coaster so maybe we would get a sky screamer as well, but the only place it could go would be Iron Wolf's spot, or remove a ride. I think it would kinda waste space in Iron Wolf's Spot, and I think all of our rides are fine right now (Well, except Cajun, King Chaos in Mardi Gras). Would Flashback fit in Cajun's spot? And what about a Sky Screamer in King Chaos' spot?
now before everyone starts jumping on me for saying this........relax i am by no means saying I want this to happen. However I think that if that new Superman ride goes over big at Discovery Kingdom, I could see that being the next flavor of the month for all the six flags parks. Its a compact ride and is not an extremely expensive ride. I could potentially see this replacing V2 in the future, not next year but in the next few years, possibly. Do not get me wrong, I love V2 and that ride continues to form a long queue on a regular basis. However, Six flags has already told us that the reason the holding brake will never work again is because of the wear and tear it puts on the trains and the ride itself. Also after riding that ride this past week, I am really starting to notice a ride that is not quite as superior as it used to be. This leads me to wonder if the ride is beginning to reach the end of its lifetime. That ride runs hard day in and day out. All im saying is that this ride may not be here in the near future. not because its not popular, but because it will get replaced with something bigger and better due to it not being feasible to operate anymore.

I have long been an advocate of removing Cajun. This however, would not be acceptable. You don't replace crap with worse crap. Flashback is the worst sit-down Boomerang I've ever been on, and that says a lot, because they're all crap.
