Galvan - you should somehow incorporate a new feature of "liking" posts : ) Love that you had to drop the "common sense" line... Seems that gets forgotten all too quickly.
I like the idea of the crate somehow relating to ACME, thus leading to a hint of the kiddy areas upgrade. Should we look into the fact that it's a wooden crate, vs. metal, etc...?
As a graphic designer, there's usually a notion for every move made, when it comes to advertising. Just wondering how far-out they've thought this graphic. Or it's just me being a nit-picky designer : )
I may be one of those who are for roller coasters, but it was sad for the park to remove Looney Tunes National Park just so they can move the Go-Karts. The theme for Yukon barely retains with the sound of those gasoline engines in the background. At least they should theme up the Go-Karts.
They should bring back all the WB characters, besides the few Looney Tunes characters which remain in the park. Personally, I'd rip out the Kidzopolis name and rename/retheme all the kiddie rides to Acme/Looney Tunes kind of stuff and scatter the kiddie rides from the late Bugs Bunny section throughout the park.

UWW-10 wrote:^Leave out the older crowd? They just appeased the older crowd this year....are we that over it already and looking for the next thing?
Yes, the older crowd was appeased last year, but what I am trying to say is that the new kiddy area does not appease to a big enough audience to be the only thing added. Obviously we got X-flight last year, but there are still non-coaster riders that would like thrilling flats. Sky Screamers are not super expensive, so I think they should add that along with the kiddy area.
Anyway, although the most obvious spot for this expansion is the Iron Wolf Area, I would be slightly disappointed if it gets added there. That space could be used for a decent coaster in the future.
sky screamer and kiddie park merger and maybe more additions to the kiddie area. I think that would be a fine investment to the park to be honest. Id love to say i think supermans days are numbered (god i hope they are) the wait time is horrible and the attendants are even worse. To be perfectly honest i dont really care much for it anyways. I belive the next big one we get we will see the removal of superman and something added there. Also im hear to say this and i know it will be just like this. Whizzer is going no where. With the dedication this month and the fact they said parts ARE easy to get or fabricate and a inexpensive cost. Demon RB AE go no where. Viper i hope goes no where.
Anyways just my 4 cents.
p.s. if i had a wish id love to see the return of tidal wave! i hear its for sale but not sure if that is true or not.
^If the wait time is horrible for Superman, usually that means that people are riding Superman. Why would they get rid of Superman if a lot of people still like it? If it came down to the park getting rid of another coaster, I think Demon is the one that really should go. It's not packed, and it's not like it has the greatest capacity for it to be so empty most of the time. However, this shouldn't be for a bit because they already get rid of one coaster, and added another one. Ragin Cajun is another option, but the footprint is really tiny, and it wouldn't really help many other parks because almost every other Six Flags has a mouse coaster now ever since Shapiro. Demon might not seem to have that big a footprint, but really they could take away that upcharge attraction, they could either move or remove Orbit, and than they would change the lines easily. If they wanted a more helix section, they could take away Richochet, or hopefully move it somewhere else. This would definitely have to be a custom job coaster.
Really, I think you are just looking at Superman as a bigger plot of land, and you personally don't like the ride, so you think it should be gone.
And just because ACE puts a plaque up for a ride doesn't mean much at all. Six Flags could tear down a ride that has a plaque whenever they feel like. It's there park. Sure, Six Flags loves for ACE to put a plaque on there ride because it adds publicity to the park. Why not get more people going to the park through ACE? It doesn't hurt to get more people. As a famous saying goes any publicity is good publicity.
"I've been staring at the world, waiting. All the trouble and all the pain we're facing. Too much light to be livin' in the dark. Why waste time? We only got one life. Together we can be the CHANGE. So go and let your heart burn bright"
^Yes, people are riding Superman, but it is so SLOW. You barely move in line and the load/dispatch isn't fast at all. Not to mention the last couple of times I've been there it has been broken down for at least two hours. I think it makes much more sense to have a 3 train B&M Floorless there than a 2 train Flyer. One reason I want it gone is because I personally do not like it, but I also think that there could be a better replacement for it. And if I had to guess, I would say that Superman may be on the chopping block before Viper (Which I would hate to see go).
To begin with, I've seen a few comments from this page that can be made up. I meant it is just a rumor. I don't care if it is true or not, but I need some proof which is important to tell the truth. It doesn't matter what you believe in people who you trust. People are making up a word that can be spread to the world BEFORE the announcement of Six Flags due date Just shut up and wait until August 30th which means it would be announced though.
I've seen a few people who mentioned, "Add a new kiddie park to Iron Wolf's spot." Oh, please! I don't think that can happen. Don't you remember Iron Wolf's station? It's A L I V E. It waits for a new roller coaster ONLY. DUH!
Even though I know a few people want to remove the Go-Kart for a new attraction. I wish that could happen, but it's too late; because Six Flags already built a new station for Go-Kart this year.
Use your common sense [shaking my head]
My opinion is we can get...
A new StarFlyer or Scream'n Swing for Triple Play and it can matches the Hometown Square.
A new Green Lantern ZacSpin for a space available that be behind the Famous Famiglia and it can matches the Orleans Place. It is the one of superheroes, such as Superman: Ultimate Flight and The Dark Knight, in the area.
A new kiddie park? I have no idea.
Don't get me wrong. I doubt that happens though.
I've heard a lady from Facebook that said, "Get your last rides on American Eagle." It looks like that would be removed for making EXTRA SPACE.
^ So you start by telling people they need to post proof so you know what the truth is, and then you end by saying American Eagle is being removed? Wheres your proof of that?
I am honestly excited for anything. There isn't anything that I badly want at the park at the moment. We just got an awesome B&M that fulfilled the gap created by the Chang craze. I could go for a new show, new kiddie area, new flat ride, and other park improvements (like retracking on the woodies) I just know I'll be a happy camper

I have no comments. I don't have proof. I'd just heard a lady that said something happened to American Eagle, but I don't believe that complain. I 100% doubt that could happen though.

Do you really want to see SFGAm have a ride with WORSE capacity then Cajun?
After Cajun... SFGAm added Dark Knight. You never know what could happen next year...
Except the fact that there has never been any rumor on that. True you never know but it's highly unlikely.
The new Six Flags commercial says get your last rides on the Eagle. That could mean they are closing it early this year before the remodel it. New track, paint, and trains.
^ SOURCE. Seriously people. I have trouble believing such a claim would be made in a commercial without ANY official mention on Facebook, Twitter, or the official website.
Exactly what do people mean about the concept of "a worse ride than Cajun"? Unless they're referring to Cajun Cliffhanger which I never had the guts to ride myself. But I'd guess it's Ragin' Cajun and that ride always has long waits. This goes to show a ride does not have to be tall to become legendary. I really like RC myself because of the spinning throughout the ride.
While Superman is good in its own way, it doesn't nearly have all the elements that Shockwave did. The only unique feature is riding face-down. X-flight, on the other hand, is slightly better and known for its elements. That ride, I would call, is like Superman on steroids to me.

Source please or stop spamming. Are you sure it didn't say get rides at six flags before the kids go back to school.

This refers to the fact that certain operational issues with Ragin' Cajun result in the complete inability for the ride to ever achieve anywhere near respectable capacity numbers.
An El Loco or a ZacSpin etc. would all be as bad or worse than Cajun even running in ideal conditions.
Okay, 1st of all I'm banking on a large kiddie area and a flat ride. S&S Screamin Swing or Star Flyer. About the zoning board, why would they prepare to announce something that isn't even confirmed with the city yet?
One more unrelated thing. At the station of Batman, there is a video on one of the screens of a red B&M coaster (its not X-Flight) It looks like it could be a Floorless or a Standup. However, there is also a ferris wheel in the video. Does anyone know about that?

The Radio and TV ads do mention getting last rides on American Eagle....before the Summer Season ends and it's back to school time. It also mentions something about a "last splash" in Hurricane Harbor. It doesn't mean anything about them gutting both things. It's typical advertisement for this time of year to get that last squeeze of people through the park gates.

If this is true, it might not mean what you think it means. It might deal more with the tent which is in the vicinity of the American Eagle. If they are doing the kiddie thing, than they would probably move those rides out of the tent, and put them closer to the Iron Wolf area. Six Flags would do this though because they have been trying to save money for years by shutting down rides ahead of time, so if they shut down American Eagle, it's an excuse to save some dough. They could wait to move the kiddie rides.
Someone said about getting rid of Triple Play for the Sky Screamer? Huh? That makes zippo sense to me. You have Fiddler's Fling which to me is becoming one of the most broke down flat rides in the park even though it's not broke ALL the time, but out of the park, it seems to be, and you have Condor which is a tall ride that gives good views. They got rid of a Parachute ride at one park, and a swings ride at another park. Both rides have something in common with a Skyscreamer in my opinion. One gives good views, and one was a swing ride. I don't think the park would care to operate with 3 so similar types of rides even though they are different: Sky Trek Tower, Condor & Skyscreamer.
On top of that, the park has Balloons and the Whirligig which to me is also similar to Skyscreamer. All Skyscreamer is a swing set high up in the air. It's not a thrill ride, but rather a ride that is trying to scare people for being so high up. I said it before, but there is no reason for SFGAm to get one. It would make sense at other parks that don't have a lot of more gentle flats, but at SFGAm, it's really not logical for that ride to be installed.

actually gemon has very good capacity. Being at the park the other day the wait line was out the gate and i waited around 45 minutes. With three trains running it does very good. As far as superman goes i do not look at it as a big plot of land... yes it is... but im not seeing it from my point. They could put a higher capacity coaster there and take the line down. Or the could do us all a favor and replace the crew who runs it. As i said before in a different post im not making stuff up about whizzer. if you would like me to find the quote about whizzer not going anywhere i will find it. And yes having a dedication to it means they plan on keeping it. Now does stuff chang on the fly? Of course it always does. We could walk in tommorrow and find that Raging Bull is being removed for some ungodly reason. Is that highly unlikely? yes. But the same goes with all coasters. None are permenent and all can be removed for something better bigger or worse.
