Pink Survey Markers behind County Fair Train station

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

Perhaps it's just routine landscaping, or maybe it is something more?

But Pink markers have appeared in the trees just beyond the former Iron Wolf site behind the County Fair train station.

These markers are similar in color to those that where used in the planning of the site for X-Flight.

Well, it's no surprise that this would be the area for future development. It could be as simple as landscaping as Galvan pointed out. It is, however, an area to keep an eye on for any further work. The area beyond the train station there isn't a lot of room to work with unless they are going to modify the train station area for any construction purposes.

It will be interesting to see what plays out and if anything else develops.

I don't think Great America will have to do anything behind the train. IW's spot should be large enough to accomadate whatever SFGAm has planned.

Or maybe some new log flumes or other water rides for the area?

Or leftovers from last year when they where removing Iron Wolf that areas a good place for a new ride but doubtful SF will build another one since we got Xflight already.

Could they be expanding that building that is around there? I don't know what it's for, but you see it to the left when you are on the train. It's in your picture.

I noticed a last Saturday that the footers were being removed, but it looked like it was only in the section of iron wolf that is across the employee access road. I am not sure they are just landscaping that area or it is for something new. Maybe something new for Fright Fest?

I just hope the site doesn't remain vacant for 6 years or longer. Last time that happened though, I think the new attraction turned out to be worth it.
