^ Really wish the new actors would bring as much energy as they did. Not that they're all bad, but some of our current actors seem quite sluggish compared the JPM actors.
Yes, but you have to agree that FF was a HUGE task for one man to re-design pretty much all by himself. I believe that, given the circumstances, last year was phenomenal after having an outside company do it for years. http://www.davidlundholm.com/DavidLundholm/Home.html

This is true. They are just starting out. I'm sure it'll take a bit for them to get into the swing of things.
Every jumbled pile of person has a thinking part that wonders what the part that isn't thinking, isn't thinking of.
Honestly in my opinion Fright Fest has gone down hill. My parents have been taking me since I was a little and even as i got older it still scared me. 2008 was the last year in my opinion it was descent. Then 09 was a disaster. 2010 was better when i went it had alot of theming and actors but the actors were'nt really trying to scare in my opinion. 2011 was just ok the actors were great just less themeing. Each year i notice they cutback on something each year. When it comes to this stuff ik what im talking about. I work at the #1 haunted house in the state.
IF only JPM would return...i remember i always use to love being able to go by the trolls they were my favorite i use to have alot of fun with them and then 2010 season(i believe) i go to see the trolls and they werent there. Come to find out that JPM didnt do fright fest anymore. Fright fest now for me is just a waste of time because there is never a day when your waiting under 45 mins to an hour for a ride expect fridays. It really sucks to think that fright fest was amazing and fun back in the day necropolis was actually scary to and now its just looks like the workers in there dont even try to scare you and there just there to talk to people. Hopefully six flags great america straightens things out and gets fright fest back to how it was back in the day!

Cough Cough Dream Reapers
This is the last year for Dream Reapers right? That's what I read in their Facebook page.
Does anyone have any good photos of the event from the early 2000s? I've looked around on the site but most of the older report's links to photos are dead. I was able to use web archives to see some from the old photozone, but not much luck other than that.

I think I might have a couple. I think anything before 2001 is pretty much non-exsistant. I wish I would have had a camera with me when the park had Alice Coopers Brutal Planet. The park was decorated to the gill, and had some extremely cool characters.

When I click on that link it takes me to my Facebook page.
I got it to work. It was a problem with IE7. Great Pictures.

The Parc Management Fright Fests have nothing to do with the Six Flags Fright Fests. Parc bought some of the parks sold by SF such as Darien Lake and Elitch Gardens and continued to use the name Fright Fest for their Halloween events. It was those events that Parc made more family friendly in 2007.

Ok the year 200 pictures are in my Fright Fest 2000 album. I had a fuji Finepix 1.0 pixel digital camera. no matter what setting i had on that camera the pics same out crappy. this was before the anti shake feature and stability features.

^ Still awesome to see, regardless if they are kinda blurry!
As for this years event, I haven't seen much said yet other than "lots of new things this year."
Not sure if this has been brought up yet, but for a park event a while ago Fiddlers got the Terror Twister treatment with lights and music. I think that would be a cool thing to bring to Fright Fest and it would help the scare zone around it.
I think Great america could have trolls. Make like 3 of them, get rid of the yellow, and purple what ever they are.
