I'm going today. Do you expect it to be busy at all? I realize X-Flight will be the most popular as usual. I went last Saturday and it was the average 30 minute wait for most rides and about 45 minutes for X-Flight but hopefully today it isn't too bad.
Top 3 Steel Coasters: 1. The Incredible Hulk 2. Maverick 3. Dragon Challenge (Fireball)
Top 3 Wood Coasters: 1. The Beast 2. American Eagle (Red) 3. Hades
I went yesterday (Sunday) and in the middle of the afternoon, I waited maybe 30 mins tops the first time around, and then about 15 minutes the second time around.
Got to ride X-Flight for the second time yesterday, and the intensity in the last row on the right side was much higher than in the right middle, getting pulled through those elements. I always choose the back on coasters for that reason. Looking forward to trying the left wing, but the attendant made us go to the right to balance the line.
I was at the park yesterday and was still amazed that Bull had a significantly longer line than X Flight. Waited 20 or so for bull and maybe 5 for X Flight. I'm guessing most everyone has gotten their first rides out of the way already?

We found this to be the case also, we were there Thursday (May 17). Raging Bull's line was in the 30-45 minute range throughout the day. X-Flight, apart from early morning, was about 20 minutes.
I think the majority of attention X-Flight is getting comes from watching it. It's a great ride to watch, really easy on the eyes. But I figure most people who ride it come off liking it, but it's still stuck in their heads what they saw before they rode. It's like a virtual or psychological thrill, more so than a real *roller coaster* thrill. Then it's the whole "yeah, that rocked" feeling.
Dare Devil Dive at Six Flags Over Georgia on the other hand, wasn't *as* impressive to watch, but the ride was simply more fun and thrilling. Add to that the CREPPY factor of doing that last slow inversion hanging from a lap bar, that really seals the actual physical thrills of that ride. Just my 2 cents...
Hey guys, I made an X-Flight video (from X's opening weekend) and would appreciate it if you guys comment. I will admit, it's a long video with many repeated clips, but the ride looks great!
I was going to say that its possible that its the 2 train load Bull is running making the lines longer - but considering capacity is probably pretty similar, and Bull is a longer ride .. I guess it doesnt make much sense.
I get the feeling the lines will be similar all year.

Nice video. Sure, there are a lot of different angles of each element but they are not repeated clips. It gives me more of a feel for the metrics of the ride. I cannot wait for my visit in mid June, you have helped pump me for X Flight!
Six Flags never seems to know what they are doing in regards to music. For X-Flight, they used to have just awesome line music on the first weekend, but now it's about gone. Sure, they have tvs in the line, but it's only part of the line. Why can't the X-Flight music be all in the first part of the lines until you get to the tvs. It's mostly tv music now.
Batman the Rides speakers seem to be off now during the steps. It's only in the station. V2 has one speaker that has Yankee Harbor music, but you really can only hear it for 5 seconds because they have that Rock speaker right by the a speaker that is used for the tv in which you can't even see because the sun is shining on the tv to begin with. Superman's Rock speakers are way too faint that when the ride goes by, you can't really hear much of the music until the ride stops. Even Demon's rock speakers in line are too quiet.
And the question is, are these things important to Six Flags? They might think well it's just a line. We don't need to spend any more money on lines because they are just lines. However, I guarantee you that one of the main reasons a person is NOT going to want to come to Six Flags is because of those so called lines. Another reason is money, but let's stick with lines for right now. There are so many people that come to Six Flags because they know that the park is going to have enjoyable rides, but the lines come into people's thoughts everytime they come to the park. So, forget the Flash Pass for right now.
The question that the park needs to figure out is how do we make those lines more fun for our guests to be in? (Disney's newer solution is make the lines more interactive by including games in the line such as on Space Mountain. I think it was a great idea, but they messed up the line in order for those games to work better. If they would have left the line alone and than included those games, those games would make much more sense to me. Before the Fast Pass person would stop the line, and you would have had more time to play those games, but now they put those games in a bad spot. They made one side to be just Fast Pass, and thus no stopping of the line anymore. That's not point though. They are doing something different.) If some of those rock speakers are getting too old, than really they should replace some of them, or maybe they just aren't putting them loud enough to preserve them longer which hurts the guest experience in my opinion.
Back to the tv stuff at SFGAm, their content on the tv isn't really wonderful in my opinion. They like to sell a lot of stuff on the tv. The only non selling content it seems is the music videos, and to me they are good but why not just have rock speakers all over place than... Sure, they should sell stuff but add more content to them - Cartoons (There are more cartoons out there than just Scooby-Doo & Looney Tunes), Comedy (How about get someone like David Letterman, Jay Leno, etc), and Clips from Tv Shows / Movies.

I wish I could film it and show you what i mean.
I never felt it, or saw it, but I definitely heard it. Every time it went through the tower/mist support, it sounded like it was entering the station, or brakes, or the lift or something. You know, that characteristic clicking of a train finishing its run? Now I know what the noise is!
^ Those noises have nothing to do with the wheels. That's the anti-rollback dogs and chain dogs going up and then back down again as the train rolls over.

I think they got one through ACE which is a coaster club (American Coasters Enthusiasts). Also, I have a feeling a bunch of those people were also kids of the more head up people. This website or a podcast could even be considered media too.

When I rode yesterday, they only played the themed music in X Flights queue, not even move it like I heard on the 12th. They even added sound effects of planes landing and taking off, and had music on the lift hill.
^So, no more tv music or were the tvs off? That's good if it's more back to normal. I don't mind the tv music, but only have that in the selected tv area. The whole line isn't tvs. The first part doesn't have any tvs (the 4 huge switchbacks, or is it 6), and than you go straight for a bit, and than maybe turn and the first tv comes up.

I know, I was just saying the noise that the train makes through the tower is reminiscent of those noises.
