Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

The one good thing in the hangar is the line/exit goes thru it

What an amazing thing to come home to after work! ;D Looks so well done. At the beginning of all this(announcement), I didnt expect the "caution support", mist, water jets, modern station/tower vs concept art, or different colored trains.... I mean This is one of these situations where I tell people SFGAm throws in surprises & adds stuff in/they do things differently than most of the other SF parks...its true! I love everything about this ride. I'm not gonna complain about the hangar regardless of me findin it odd that its just a wall because the ride overall looks fantastic!

Here's a still of the hangar and the queue going through it.

I think I'm just going to start referring to it as the arched wall.

It looks awful. It adds nothing to the ride the way it is and really looks cheap and so useless. I mean the current star attraction of the park and they do this to it?

I don't know if they're done with it yet but I agree...I don't like it either.

The whole ride looks amazing, I am not going to complain about the hanger as it will still serve its purpose while on the ride. There is really no pleasing some of you...

I am wondering if the hanger had some clearance issues, so they could only build a wall.

On the bright side, just as suspected all along, there don't appear to currently be any trim brakes on the ride, just as most have assumed would be the case since the original animation was released. It doesn't look like the ride needs them, either. :)

I think the station is probably my only complaint about the ride. Other then that SFGAm definitely has a winner with X-Flight.

that thing is moving a hell of alot faster then the first test run video. I really like it and the helix at the end is going to be very powerful. As for the hangar... yeah could of done better but it will serve its purpose i guess. Should of been a bit more constructive on it.

In relation to the video, that spot that has the shot of the track (immelmann) and then the train comes through, you can see how hard the train is hitting that. Paint is already wearing down....

Am I the only one see's the 2 or possibly 4 footers at the bottom of the first drop?
Is this for a netting of some sort so a cell phone falling out of the pocket of someone in car 8 at the top of the lift hill as they are turned upside down doesn't hit someone as the train quickly passes right underneath?

For those of you who don't know what he's talking about it's at the endof the drop where you'll be very close to the ground. To me it almost looks like it's for a themeing structure since they are four footers.

If you look at the bottom of the first drop you can probably see what it's going to be.

At the park now... The hangar wall looks good now because they added lights and signs to it. Sure it's a bit goofy its flat but looks a lot better with theming. Spray grass is down and mulch is being laid.

Can you upload a quick picture of the hangar?

It looks like some structure with a netted roof. Possibly another fly through but the roof acts as a net to catch things that might fall from the top where it flips you over.

They started testing X-Flight at around 3 PM on Saturday.
This ride has so many great vantage points to photograph it from since it is right on the midway.

I actually think it's possible those posts at the bottom of the first drop are for the cameras for on ride photos
