Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

They removed the webcam off the X-Flight page and updated the text to include the season pass holder dates and the official opening date.

^^ They have removed the applet from the X-Flight page. The webcam itself is still active. You can get still images from the link on the SFGAm World homepage or at http://166.241.21.24/sample/oneshot.html

You can get to the live feed at SFGAmZone or at http://www.sixflags.com/greatAmerica/Ri ... ebcam.html

I'm looking at the latest camera screenshot on my phone and it's hard to see since it's a small screen but are the train covers on now?

^ Yes, it does seem like they have put on the covers. Since the webcam is kind of fuzzy, the red covers easily blend into the track.

They are still only running Train #1. Train #1 has the fiberglass shells installed.

Everything is coming together nicely. I don't think that black frame on the station is for a sign though. Isn't that frame facing the wrong direction?
Candy: What you lookin' at?
Otis B. Driftwood: I'm lookin' at you, mama.
Candy: Yeah, you see something you like?
Otis B. Driftwood: Maybe. I set my standards pretty low, so I'm never disappointed.

Why does the webcam disconnect after a few images?

^The black frame is facing the direction of the midway.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

I'm 99% sure it's a function implemented by the webcam software designer to conserve bandwidth. If everyone opened up the stream and just walked away from their computers, they'd be serving up a ridiculous amount of data. So they just cut you off and force you to refresh.

And here is a shot of the train with the covers on 3PM April 19:
Image

In addition, if you want quick access to the live feed without any extra frills, you can take this HTML:
Code: Select all
<APPLET codeBase="http://166.241.21.24/-wvdoc-01-/LiveApplet/" height=600 width=750 archive=LiveApplet.zip code=LiveApplet.class>
<PARAM NAME="url" VALUE="http://166.241.21.24/">
<PARAM NAME="video_width" VALUE="640">
<PARAM NAME="controller_style" VALUE="none">
</APPLET>

paste it into a text file, and then open it up on your computer. Then bookmark the page.
To admins: could you host the applet HTML on the SFGAmWorld webcam page, since right now it's only a single image?

You can see that the queue line will go through the control tower.

I wonder if they will have the inside of the tower completely open so the cars sail right over the pathway inside the control tower or if there will be a small roof separating the two. The only problem is people tossing things up so there will probably be some slate separating it.
